    1. This book sucked the big cheese. I'm am in no way a prude but it's a little hard to take your heroine seriously when she is running around naked the ENTIRE book. How awkward. Esp. when she's constantly fighting gladiator style. The whole time I thought; "well, I guess it's a good thing she doesn't have balls or a hairy ass crack."**SPOILERS**Let's see Riley is raped, beaten, abused, oh yeah & the best yet.going to have naked mud wrestling as an "arena whore" for her arch nemesis. And not onl [...]

    2. I knew I had to give this one up because I had absolutely no motivation to finish it. This series has kind of fizzed out for me. Womp. Also I hate Quinn's guts. This character just got more terrible as the books progressed. I'm tired of reading books where the main character is with an asshole, knows he's an asshole, and stays with him regardless.

    3. Tempting Evil is pretty morbid. I loved it!Infiltrating the grounds as whores and arena fighters, toys for the crossbred freaks with interesting body part accessories, and sexual sadists who apparently enjoy raping women not only when they're screaming in fear and pain, but also as they are knocked out unconscious. It's time! Riley and Rhoan, along with the other sexy studs and vampires, receive enough intel that they are ready to wiggle into the completely screwed world of a psychohomosexual who [...]

    4. Every time I read these books I can't help but fall inlove with them again. They are truly amazing and everything I could want in a novel. I mean, werewolfs, vampires and sex all in the same book? It's every womens fantasy on print

    5. When I first heard about this book I was only able to get hold of book three so I had to read it first, which wasn't ideal, but it wasn't difficult to catch up with the story that I had missed and I did enjoy the book. Riley is part of the supernatural team investigating genetic experiments being carried out on shifters and finally, they have the name of the guy running the show-Deshon Starr. To get to his mansion and private labs, Kade and Rhoan are going in as security guards and Riley goes in [...]

    6. Holy crap.Keri Arthur is awesome. I've never hated a villain more. And loved a heroine as much as Riley. Well maybe that's debateable. Either way, this is an unforgettable series.

    7. Check out my blog: Escape by FictionBetter than the lastSo Riley and the guardians have to go undercover to the crazy and evil Starr's estate. Instead of going like a prostitute as planned, Riley get an in and goes as a fighter instead (the winner of said fights gets to have sex with top officials of Starr's cartel) - yay! She gets in, has some sex, reads some minds, causes some trouble, saves some people and saves the day. HEA.OK, so there really wasn't much to put in the summary, because that' [...]

    8. I was pleasantly surprised that as well as I liked the previous series entry, I enjoyed this one much more. Riley and company are growing on me. This time out Riley & Rhoan are attempting to beard the lion in his den as they each go undercover to capture Deshon Starr as his activities have made life for the super-naturals quite unbearable. As much as the buildup has been I thought Starr could not possibly live up to the evil, but he was evil enough. Resolution of the Starr storyline hopefull [...]

    9. Oh! Thank heavens! This books seems to be the end of the lab breeding back story--I liked it but there is only so much you can say and only so much mystery while still keeping it interesting for the reader. I was thrilled with the new developments in this book.Without giving too much away, Riley goes undercover into Starr's "compound" as part of the entertainment for the men serving Starr--there is a little more to it that meets the eye. I thought she was just going in as, wella prostitute--nope [...]

    10. Riley Jenson, you kick butt! I usually find that most series that end up as my favorites, it’s usually book 3 that seems to be the magic number. And that is once again the case with Riley Jenson. I really enjoyed book 1 and 2, but book 3 just lifted this series onto my favorite’s shelf. I love the paranormal world Riley lives in. It’s different and unique. The promiscuity of the wolves and how that behavior is acceptable in their society makes me look at Riley’s actions a little differen [...]

    11. This was a really good installment even though i really wanted to kill Riley in this one as she keeps making stupid decisions when it comes to the guy department, whether shes screwing the vampire Quinn whom she has an infatuation with, and wants to explore what their relationship is, and then the werewolf Kellan whom she also has a strong infatuation with. She comes off as a slut to me. Where yes i understand that werewolves especially the females are constantly the term used bitches in heat an [...]

    12. A fun sort of read about a dhampir with an outrageous sex drive.I love how it is set in Melbourne, Australia (my home town), and the writing quality is great. It never seems to get too clunky; except in the really drawn out sex scenes.Riley, a Guardian, is continuing a quest to stop a madman from creating a mutant army. Although kicking some serious butt she beds just about every male character in the story. What I did notice with Arthur's story line is that if:a) A woman is semi naked, andb) The [...]

    13. It's funny how these books always take me a minute to get into them, but once I do I whip right through the book. It's interesting that one of the biggest enemies of Riley and Co. is taken out, and yet this is a long lasting series, haha but alas there is a nice little zinger at the end, which bodes for a much more evil nemesis than before. This book was filled with alot, alot of things for Riley to do, alot of questionings on many different thing. The one hang up I have on Riley is her need for [...]

    14. This book, actually this series is not for everyone. The subject matter dealt with can be offensive to anyone that cannot put aside their own personal feeling about sex and using ones body to achieve their goals. This particular book has scenes of rape and hand to hand combat death matches. It's not all about romance, rainbows and unicorns. Although some of the lab born creatures may well be part unicorn, who knows? Anyway, if you're squeamish about nudity, women's lib, sex, rape, humanoid type [...]

    15. Read this book for a reading challenge is my justification for finishing this book. I am not a fan of sexual violence or threats of sexual violence. I can digest a little of it BUT the level of it in this book made this story completely unenjoyable by me. Funny thing is that it wasn't the love triangle that was the turn off for me. It wasn't really an triangle at all, it was just an open relationship. As far as plot structure, pacing, character development, this story was fabulous. I can't recom [...]

    16. That's basically the end of the series for me. What started off as such a promising series devolved into a toxic battle of contrition between two guys with serious toxic masculinity issues. The plot became an excuse. The rape was the icing on the cake. Nope. Done with this.

    17. Notes while currently reading :I'm really having trouble with Riley, I just want to slap her and put some good sense in her head ! I liked the first book of the series, strong-willed heroin, hot vamp, genetic manipulations, suspense and all. And sex. But she's getting whiny, complains all the time, rants at others and wonders why she has trouble making friends (duh !).At the point I've reached, she's having sex with a horse-shifter in front of her jealous possessive vampire lover. In the middle [...]

    18. Riley has taken the final step and become a fully fledged Guardian for the Directorate of Other Races, she still isn't sure that it is for the best but she wants to be part of the team that takes down Deshon Starr. Her first mission isn't going to be easy - it is up to her to infiltrate Deshon's stronghold and try to discover where his secret labs are hidden so that the DOR can destroy them. While deep undercover she is going to have to be wary about who she trusts but she will also find friends [...]

    19. Come gongolo.

    20. Riley Jenson is part werewolf and part vampire that works for the Directorate governing supernatural world. Riley's boss Jack Hunter wants her to be Guardian something Riley really doesn't want to do but doesn't really have a choice in the matter. Thanks to Deshon Starr for Riley taking Guardian training over the past six months. Rhoan, is Riley's packmate and twin brother, who is doing most of Riley's offensive and defensive training before she takes on Gauntier in a fight. Riley doesn't want t [...]

    21. I can't quite put my finger on what makes me enjoy the series more than many other 5+ book urban fantasy series out there, but there is something good at work here. I enjoyed Tempting Evil immensely, and I'm glad I read it. This novel picks up right where the last one left off. Riley is training to be a guardian (whether she likes it or not) so that she can infiltrate the lair of the man behind the labs and killings mentioned in the previous novels. The action and suspense don't let up the entir [...]

    22. This book is in sorts an end to the whole cross breeding villains. Riley has finally gotten Guardian training, and the plan to take out Deshon Starr and the entire cartel is in motion. Riley goes into Starr's compound as one of this hired fighters for entertainment and works her magic at getting information and at the same time saving a couple of people on the way. There's Kade, Rhoan and Quinn at the compound with her. Its a bit tiring, the number of people she sleeps with in this book. Mostly [...]

    23. Half-werewolf, half-vampire, Riley Jenson is on the case of madman-scientist Deshon Starr in this third book that wraps up the initial trilogy, plot-wise. Her personal life is less well organised than the mission, with old and new lovers vying for her attention. She will have to infiltrate Starr's compound to discover not only what he's working on, but who he's been disguising himself as over the years. The truth will be a surprise to everyone. The first three books in this series are intense, ex [...]

    24. Why do I keep reading these books? They are so much worse than Anita Blake Why does everyone compare slutty girls to Anita. I will now always compare them to Riley Jenson. Bleh. She doesn't have the excuse of the moon craze in this book. She is on a mission. She has infiltrated an enemy base as an 'arena whore'. She is there to sleep with Deshon Starr's guards and fight in the arena as entertainment. I should have put the book down oh in my case I should have switched to a different audio book. [...]

    25. Loving this series. Riley & the Directorate close in on Starr and the story just takes off. My favorite horse shifter and vampire are back. I think this book may have one of the hottest sex scenes in the series so far(view spoiler)[Kade/Riley/Quinn in the stables (hide spoiler)]. One of my favorite books in the series. I really can't believe how long it took me to get around to this seriestally my loss. First Read 6/28/12-6/30/12.Second read 1/8/14-1/11/14This is such an amazing series and e [...]

    26. I have a really hard time with these books they are clearly PNR that was to have some UF aspects and there are so many things I find wrong with them. I feel that Riley gets used more often then not. I also feel that she is not willing to just stick with the damn Vamp. Can't she see that he is her Soul mate? ugh anyways I have the rest of the books but I don't know if I will read them. I might but that is if I get real desperate. Anyways, Happy Reading.

    27. c2007: FWFTB: rules, mission, gene-pool, werewolf, trap. IMHO this was a better book than the first one. The plot seemed to be more coherent and was a lot darker. Riley has kept in character with the relationship between her and Quinn still more or less unresolved. I don't think any other characters really developed much with only brief cameos from some of the lesser characters in the early book. Definitely recommended.'Even the very old can try to change if we see something worth changing for.' [...]

    28. Okay this is the third book in this series and I still don't understand Quinn. What is the deal with him????Riley is still kicking butt(even if she did it naked throughout the whole book).Rhoan is still delicious and Jack is still trying to make Riley a Guardian.Kade made a few appearances but not Kellan.Riley's quest for a soul mate is still on going though.Guess I'll just have to keep reading to find out who she ends up with.*sigh*
