    1. **Spoilers ahead, read at your own risk***Ugh, worst book in the series. Thank goodness I'm done with the books I'd already bought and don't have to read anymore of this crap.Originally I wasn't going to write any more about this book or this series, but the end has me so disgusted that I felt the need to rant a littleSo quick recap of who's who.Valentine is the bitch manipulator in book 1 that leaves her companion twisting in the wind for 50 years because she doesn't want to turn anymore vampir [...]

    2. Char and her lover, Jebel, are investigating vampire troubles in Las Vegas. Respecting his wishes, Char has not made Jebel into her companion. In Vegas, the pair finds their relationship threatened by two other vampires. But the pair can worry about their relationship, both the vampire society and human society are under a supernatural threat. Char and Jebel are heroes and they will make whatever sacrifices are necessary. The ending of this book is a cliffhanger. A lot of questions are left unan [...]

    3. I can’t believe this but I actually liked this novel, even with the 4 previous strike outs. In this 5th book the writing was tight, the scenes and dialog flowed smoothly, and even the plot made sense. It’s just a shame that Sizemore’s last book in the series finally got me interested and caring about the characters. Even when she left me with a small cliff hanger/dangling plot thread at the end with the characters of Char McCairn and Jebel Haven.I’ll have to email her and ask if she ever [...]

    4. This is the worst book ever. The only part of this book that held my attention was the prologue. Thought it was going to be awesome because I love vampire stories. But nope!!!! At times I couldn't tell which character was speaking, what was going on or why. There where moments in this story I thought some awesomeness was about to happen. To my surprise nothing, it leaves you hanging and turns into mindless information that's not needed. Well I drudged through this thing till the end which took m [...]

    5. Those who love vampire stories of all kinds will enjoy this book. Between the mortals and vampires stand the Nighthawks and Enforcers. Each group enforcing the laws of their kind. What seems to be a chance meeting in Las Vegas at the opening of the New Silk Road hotel, is more than it seems. A museum containing what at first seems to be reproductions of vampire historical relics, has much more power than observed. A mortal feeling that power wants it. In the end it could pit the Nighthawks and t [...]

    6. So, I've finished the series or as much of it as exists. I've always felt that this was not intended to be the last book in the series. The author began a different series with a different vampire universe which I don't like anywhere near as well. I don't re-read that series.I don't know why this one wasn't continued. It was out of print for a long time, but it is available again now. Who knows, maybe she will go back and finish what she started here.
