    1. Considering the ratings and the comments for this book, I'm starting to wonder if people are mistaking this book with George R. R. Martin's "A Game of Thrones" which is the first book of the fantasy series "A Song of Ice and Fire", and it is also the book the HBO series "Game of Thrones" is based on. However, this is NOT that book. This book is ABOUT the tv-series, and the books by George R. R. Martin. This book is a collection of articles from , and westeros, which means that they are charging [...]

    2. This "book", and every other single "book" done by VDM Verlag (owner of the Alphascript imprint) and these hack editors at VDM/Alphascript are clowns who should not be allowed anywhere near a computer. This "book", and every single other "book" done by these hacks are literally nothing but copied and pasted articles.EVERY SINGLE BOOK DONE BY VDM AND ALPHASCRIPT AND ALL OF VDM'S OTHER IMPRINTS ARE LITERALLY COPIED AND PASTED, and not checked for accuracy or formatted properly. It is a damn shame [...]

    3. In the past, have you ever enjoy The Lord of the Rings? Well, a new J.R.R Tolkien has emerged from the literary world of fantasy and adventure, George R.R Martin, the author of Game of Thrones. This book is enthralling, addictive, and overall an amazing book to read. In this book, Martin uses different points of view for different characters, which causes quite a lot of foreshadowing throughout the series. As you read the point of view of an innocent person, Martin can switch the POV to one of a [...]

    4. As an avid reader, I am often disappointed by what is represented by the silver screen. I initially get excited to see one of my favorite series on the big screen, and eventually walk away disgusted. For whatever reason, most shows and movies that are based on epic book series absolutely butcher the original content. So when I saw the preview for "Game of Thrones" on HBO, I was immediately skeptical. Oh, I was going to watch it, but I didn't have high expectations. I did hold a little hope becau [...]

    5. Oh my God this book was so bloody long and there was way too many characters to follow and as soon as I got used to who they were they were killed off! Don't get me wrong it's well written and I enjoy the tv show and that's part of the reason I picked up the book. But there are way to many names and sub-plots going on, making it difficult to follow. In total it probably took me about 6 months to read this book simply because I kept having to take a break from it.

    6. Seriously, I would really like to know what is happening with so many of these characters!!!! But I had been warned that once you get invested in someone, bam, they are gone. Took me a while to get through since it was a longer book (and kids and stuff), but I really enjoyed it and plan on renting the series and reading the next one.

    7. I really liked the complicated plot and real characters and how there were many different personalities. Also a lot of fighting and battles and politics.
