    1 thought on “Yakuza Café

    1. Look, sometimes you just want to read the most ludicrous tropetastic yaoi manga on the planet, and that's ok.

    2. Mark Koch is used to waking up with a different woman every day and never remembers their names, but when he lays eyes on the unusual and handsome renegade, Stefan, he thinks this kid might well, be trouble, for him at least. As a former army man, Koch is used to hardship as an outsider who has to fend for himself in The Colony. He has his own way of getting on with his comrades but can't quite fathom Stefan. Due to the tattoo on his face, he forms an opinion of Stefan as someone who must have k [...]

    3. After the death of his mother and grandmother, Shinri Irie receives an offer from the father he’s never met. Daigo Inrie wishes to make amends, and he wants Shinri to come live with him. So Shinri agrees to move in with the former Yakuza—at his café!Shinri isn’t sure what to expect when he arrives at the Fujisaki Café. Certainly not the fierce looking men that greet (and scare off) prospective clients. When they learn Shinri’s identity, they welcome their young master enthusiastically. [...]

    4. Very cute, funny little story. Shinri's father stayed away from his lover and hs son in order to be able to devote himself to his yakuza clan's business. As the Boss, he was once responsible for over 100 yakuza and the running of the organisation's businesses. First, Shinri's mother died when he was a child, then as a young man, his grandmother also died, leaving him without any other family. It was this fact that led to his father having an epiphanyhis Group must start a new kind of business, o [...]

    5. A deliquent father finally decides to step up and parent his son, the only problem is to do that he has to dissolve his Yakuza family - which pisses people (aka former members) off or makes them targets of other families. So now, how does the now legal family survive? A crappy cafe. Everyone knows it was a powerful Yakuza house so no one wants to come to it. Enter, the bishoushen with the oversized eyes, young master, with a talent for making delicious tea. Love interest introduced is a scary en [...]

    6. Despite the usual humor that often in manga told quite some touching bitter sweet stories that involved Mikado, Shinri-kun and his father, and also Zaouji in a flashback side-story. Although I think there were gaps in the stories that still can be developed; like what's going on between Mikado and Zaouji, how Shinri really felt about his father, and so on. Considering this is a one-shot with a few characters though, this is surprisingly a good one.

    7. Yakuza and yaoi just go together. This manga reads fine on my kindle 3. I liked the art and the story, but was disappointed they didn't really wrap up Shinri and Mikado's relationship. They care for each other, and there was the standard noncon not really sex scene. But then They'll probably "officially" get together but I would like to have seen it.

    8. The Good: Oumi-sensei's artwork is nice to gaze at and most of her characters are very likable. The Bad: This story has the trope where the uke male gets raped by the seme and ends up accepting it and loving the man. Its a pet peeve of mine and is found in way too many storylines for my taste.
