    1. I stumbled into Artemis Dreamt under the impression that I would probably enjoy it. I've enjoyed Crystal Beran's blog and the small-prose short stories I found there, and I assumed I would enjoy Artemis to the same degree. My assumption was a little bit off in the size and scope of my enjoyment. After long days at the office, I stayed up until 2 or 3 each night longing for another hour to keep reading.I am anything but a fourteen year-old girl, but Artemis' pain resonated very strongly with me, h [...]

    2. Every so often you read a book so meaningful that you want to shove it in the hands of every person you come across, telling them to "Just read it; it's amazing; please." ARTEMIS DREAMT is that book. It is that indescribable kind of amazing that you get when you see a dangerously intense storm, or an unexpected waterfall, or experience the wonder of a friend's laugh after a particularly hard cry. Artemis Cato lives an unfortunately awful life. The kind of awful where you skip school to do the la [...]

    3. Artemis Dreamt is one of the best debut young adult novels I’ve read in a long time. It is a moving and enjoyable book which has something to interest most people. It explores the edges of genres and is all the better for it, combining a motorcycle road trip, home life, day, night, dreams, reality, disturbing and amusing into something quite special. Artemis Dreamt is a book of contrasts but these contrasts never feel confusing or out of place. The main character, Artemis Cato, is clever but re [...]

    4. It's finally here! You can pick up a copy of Artemis Dreamt at raintownpress, , Barnes and Noble, or the iBook store. Of course, you can also be an outstanding citizen and request that your local bookstore carry Artemis and all of Raintown's books (and if you do, let me know because I'm a big sucker for going on tour). If you'd like to review a copy of this book on your blog, website, zine, school newspaper, literary journal, or sticky note, send me an email at crystal@crystalberan

    5. Kind of trippy-fun, but too much description and the intense, jarring dream sequences really buried the character and plot for me.

    6. I really loved Artemis Dreamt. Artemis is a character that I really can relate to. Her strength and determination is truly inspiring.
