    1. this would have definitely been 3.5 if allowed, but preferred to go with the higher rate the story: I think the writing and publishing of the book shows a lot of courage and character. many a wal*mart store might actually run smoothly but i can honestly say I've never been to one. this book stands as confirmation of things I've seen and thoughts that I've had for many years & goes on to bolster my decision, through 4 years of unemployment, to never even attempt to apply there rate the book: [...]

    2. I would rather eat a bug than go in a Wal-Mart store and had always suspected that they were evil so I was happy to read a book that might confirm my suspicions. However, by the end of this book I was unable to determine whether Wal-Mart the company is responsible for all the trials of this former employee or if he is just delusional.I did make it all the way to the end of the book and I appreciate the effort that it took to write. It badly needs to be re-edited. Even for a free e-book it has nu [...]

    3. This is a good story for those who are familiar with the ins and outs of the retail big-box industry and WalMart in particular. This highlights the nuances and insanity that the retail world inflicts upon its associates.I appreciate the candor and honesty that the author displays in this story, and this is a good effort, but here are some of the things that need to be addressed. The editing does need to be better. It is good, but far from perfect. I noticed a couple of typos and instances when t [...]

    4. The author and editor needs to go back and edit this! It's so bad. There are so many characters it's hard to keep everyone straight. Plus he had an Affair with a coworker who is married. Get real dude. It's Walmart - the author gave his soul to the devil when he took the job and wonders why his experience was so bad. It would also be a good idea to think about modesty. It's impossible to be right all of the time but this author apparently never did anything wrong. Other than screw his coworker.

    5. I thought this was good for a laugh. How many of the problems were from WalMart and how many were the fault of the author is in question. Basically to me this book read like a retail version of the movie Office Space. Poked fun at all different aspects of the retail world (I've worked retail for many years although never at WalMart) that retail employees get. As others pointed out there were a lot of grammatical and spelling errors although in a way it to me that added to the loose make fun of t [...]

    6. I am still reading this book and I am employed at Wally World. I did not find this book to be true. At least not at my store and I am not in management. I don't know that part of the job. But I cannot see Walmart letting their employees say and do like it states in the book. I know it says its suppose to be true but I have my doubtswell I finished the book and I wasn't impressed!

    7. There are some issues with it being an e-book (sloppy editing). The story is interesting except there are a lot of abbreviations that I was not familiar with.

    8. The book was one giant humblebrag by the author. No one had any intelligence but him. Interesting how W worked but hard to get past his constant backhanded bragging.

    9. Interesting story of author's couple of years in lower mgt at Walmart. Book needs some editing but was worth reading.
