    1. 4 1/2 "Randolph" Stars!I loved this story! Best Christmas story for me this year. Gage and Regan are combustible! Holly is so sweet and an adorable child. The DeLuca family is quite interesting; I will definitely continue this series. Happy reading!

    2. Many uninteresting misunderstandings, adding troubles upon troubles for poor Regan. Supposed to be humorous. Some readers will enjoy this type of humor in a slapstick sort of way, but it did not work for me. I was impatient, wanting it to be over.Regan is a single mom who has been unable to find work in her field (wine marketing) for six years - because Gabe repeatedly sabotages her career. He is wealthy and influential in the wine industry. Regan’s goal in life is providing the best she can fo [...]

    3. Buddy read with Aly & MaruWhen Regan fell in love with Richard she had no idea that it would cost her everything, she didn't even know he was already married until she was five months pregnant with his child. When Richard vanished Regan was left broken hearted and alone to raise their daughter. At least his wife Abby had her family to support her and when Abby's brothers were unable to find the cheating husband they were happy to take out their anger on his mistress. For the last 6 years the [...]

    4. his book had me scratching my head.Regan Martin had the bad misfortune at the age of 19 to fall in love with a smooth talking man who was already married. She did not know this and was as much a victim of his perfidy as his wife. Except the wife has a large and loving family who will do anything to protect her. Since the cheating husband has taken a powder and disappeared to parts unknown, all the considerable ire of the vengeance seeking clan falls on the head of the hapless Regan. The book pick [...]

    5. Just AWFUL. More supposedly-professional people acting like preteens. The book opens with a woman shoplifting, vandalizing a car and assaulting someone. That's supposed to be a COMICAL scene. Then we get lots of talk about dicks and hard nipples and's just juvenile and turns any feeling of romance into sheer lowbrow lust. There are certain words that kill romance for me in fiction. "dick" is the worst offender. This really is a Frankenstein novella. It's marketed as a holiday romance but then it [...]

    6. 2.5ish. I'll round up. A secret baby with a twist since the H is not the father, but the the brother-in-law of the father. The heroine was 19 when the H's 30-year-old brother-in-law seduced her and made her believe he loved her. She didn't live in the same town as the wife, so she didn't know he was married. She made a stupid, naive mistake and ended up pregnant and alone when the guy skips town. She was horrified to learn the man was married. She wasn't a heartless homewrecker, but the H basical [...]

    7. DNF and returned to Audible. So much of the beginning of this story just did not add up and was just silly.

    8. Review also posted at Under The Covers Book Blog “Kissing Under the Mistletoe is an amazing start to St. Helena Vineyard series.” ~Under the CoversMs. Adair nailed it! She kept me engaged with every page of the book and falling in love with the characters immediately. Reading this book definitely put me in the right mood for the holidays, though I would have no problem reading it in the middle of summer.Reagan Martin is a jaded single mom trying to survive from a mistake she had made 6 years [...]

    9. I am not going to lie; I am a sucker for holiday themed romances. They put me in a festive mood and Kissing Under the Mistletoe did just that. This was a fun, smexy, snugly read and I quickly consumed it in a single evening. This is the first in the St. Helena Vineyard series and I cannot wait to go back to Napa Valley. The tale begins when we meet Regan Martin and her adorable six year old daughter. When she was younger she met and fell in love with her employer, only to discover he was married [...]

    10. Buddy read with Maru, Sarah and Layla, possibly Madu as well :))Great book! Can't wait for the next one.Highlights:-Regan, she was so strong and lovable and amazing, the hero doesn't deserve her-Holly, sweet kid, very smart and was a pleasure to learn about-ChiChi and her friends were the best matchmakers ever-Gabe had potential, but didn't come through, not for me at least-the setting of the story was idyllic, I enjoy small town stories very much-the plot was good and left room for other storie [...]

    11. 3.5 StarsSix years earlier at the age of 19, Regan was (unknowingly) in a relationship with a married man. When the relationship was discovered she found herself pregnant and alone. Gabe DeLuca, the brother of the wronged woman has been a constant spanner in her works. He has used his industry contacts to make sure every job she applies for is no longer available. Finally she manages to score her dream job working for a small women run winery in the Napa Valley, until she discovers the winery is [...]

    12. I was so excited when I got an advanced copy of Kissing Under The Mistletoe. Adair delivered a spell-binding story about love, betrayal and finding your forever home. The characters of this story are engaging and I found myself routing for them from page one. Reagan is funny, sassy and a strong female lead. Whether she's fighting for her daughter's happiness, her home or her sanity, she finds ways to throw curve balls at the brusk Gabe DeLuca (or more appropriately, a ceramic reindeer) and remai [...]

    13. Highly Emotional, Delightful & FunBeing the holidays, I wanted to read something romantic centered around the season. In Kissing Under the Mistletoe, I got that and so much more. With a story that is not only delightful and fun, but also highly emotional, I practically used up a box of tissues while getting to know Regan and Gabe in a story set in romantic wine country! What can I say about Regan Martin? From the start, I found her to be awesome! She's a single mom to almost 6-year old Holly. [...]

    14. When Regan Martin was 19 she made a huge mistake. She fell in love with a smooth talking older man, Richard, who promised her the moon and got her pregnant. Turns out her man was married and she found out when Richard’s brother-in-law, Gabe DeLuca, caught them in the middle of a romantic dinner. Since that time Gabe has made it his personal mission to protect his sister Abigail from having to ever run into or deal with Regan. Regan has lost jobs and her reputation due to the powerful DeLuca na [...]

    15. Regan stopped believing in Christmas miracles six years ago when she fell in love with a man she didn't know was married. Not only did she lose everything, but the family of her former lover has made it their life's work to make sure she never gets a leg up. Ready for a fresh start and second chance, Regan moves her and her daughter to Napa Valley, only to discover her new boss is Gabe--the scorned wife's brother. Gabe's plans to run Regan out of town have him thinking twice when he discovers th [...]

    16. I was grinning like a lunatic by the end of this book. Really, I had a huuuge happy grin on my face. I couldn't help it, it was just too sweet. Sure, Gabe was a supreme asshole, but he was only looking out for his family and Regan gave as good as she got and I loved it. I loved their chemistry. I loved how it was described, so everything they were feeling I was feeling, too. But in my opinion Gabe didn't grovel enough for all the things he put Regan through. I guess he's paying it now in book 2, [...]

    17. Review and author interview posted on Kindles & WineKissing Under the Mistletoe is about two strong individuals making the transition from a very rocky start to a happily ever after in one short Christmas season.Regan Martin and Gabriel (Gabe) DeLuca have a history, and it’s not a good one. They met six years ago when Gabe found Regan in bed with his friend who is also his sister’s husband. As the older and protective brother, he is livid and does everything in his power to keep Regan ou [...]

    18. 3.5 stars.Kinda torn about this story, tbh.On one hand, there were a lot of things I liked and loved…We have Regan, a woman who has gone through a very tough life, mostly made that way by Gabe and his family. I loved her character. She was so damn strong through every crap they threw her way. People were really mean and real assholes sometimes, but she just held her head high and focused on her daughter (who was super cute, btw). For years she couldn’t work in her field, but now comes her ti [...]

    19. darhkportal/2012/10/reviewThis is the first book in Ms. Adair’s St. Helena Vineyard Novel Series and I am so honored to have had the chance to read it before it hits the shelves!Regan is a gal who is no stranger to disappointment. She is also no stranger to strong character and certainly isn’t one for letting the bad outweigh the good that she does have in her life. After all, she has a beautiful daughter and is about to start a new life in a new town. Things are looking up, until her past t [...]

    20. Regan is a strong single mother burned by love before. In order to protect her heart, Regan puts all of her time and effort into being a mom. But then Gabe DeLuca shows up.Gabe is off-limits, but that doesn’t stop love—it never does. Normally the hero is my favorite character in romance novels, but here Regan was my favorite character. She is strong and brave, and always puts her daughter first. I didn’t like Gabe at first. He ruined Regan’s life over and over again—so much that Regan [...]

    21. What a great holiday read! I am now officially in the Christmas mood. I love holiday books whether they are Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day or even Halloween but Christmas is my favorite. Adair did not disappoint me in this Christmas read. Gabe De Luca is the oldest of 5 siblings and has been the head of the family since his parents died when he was twenty-four. He has spent most of his adult life taking care of his siblings and fixing their problems so when he meets Regan Martin he knows he nee [...]

    22. Heartwarming, humorous, touching, sweet and inspiring - these are some of the words that come to mind for describing this novel. This is a story of family loyalty, survival, and ultimately, of love’s triumph; all delivered by a strong cast of delightful characters; this makes a great introduction to the Napa valley themed series, St. Helena Vineyards. Marina Adair is a new to me author, and one that I will be keeping a close eye on for now on.Any time an author can take me with such ease into h [...]

    23. I actually quite enjoyed the style, characters and plot as far as a light read with a Christmas flavour goes BUT it has an element which brings to mind the word crude. I don't mind a bit of hot and steamy in my books especially when there's romance but there's just odd, or rather ugly phrases and words thrown in all over the place.I'm reading a perfectly nice paragraph about an unmistakable attraction between the two lead characters, a bit of a simmer and sizzle perhaps and then I get to hear [...]

    24. This was my first Adair book and I was impressed. In short, Regan has affair with Richard, gets pregnant, and finds out he is already married. Richard's wife is a "Deluca" and has four over protective brothers. She also has a busy body grandma. Enter Gabe Deluca, the oldest and problem solving brother, who has made it his goal to run Regan out of every job she can manage to get. In this book, Regan's daughter, Holly, is turning six and Regan ends up in Gabe's hometown (because of meddling Grandm [...]

    25. First, I started reading this series out of order by reading Summer in Napa before reading Kissing Under the Mistletoe. The fact that I went back to read the first book should tell you something. I love the characters in the series and enjoy Adair's writing. You are going to want to catch up because Autumn in the Vineyard comes out in October. My favorite quote from the book: Regan did what any grown woman would do when caught committing a crime. She stepped off the toilet, shoved the flyers behi [...]

    26. Buddy read with Aly, Sarah and Layla, and Madu?I really liked this book, but didn't get to the swoon moment with the hero Gabe.I'm really looking forward to the upcoming books in the series.Overall for me this is a solid 4 stars book :)

    27. To be a fan of modern romance books requires one to be able to suspend a certain amount of reality because the genre is by its own nature a branch of the fantasy family. Kissing Under the Mistletoe, the first book in Marina Adair’s immensely popular St. Helena’s Vineyard series required this veteran romance reader to suspend more of his natural skepticism over implausible plot lines than most. We’re asked to believe that our heroine Regan Miller can somehow have an attraction of any kind f [...]

    28. I picked up this book because it was the basis for a Hallmark seasonal movie, but I have to tell you, aside from the name of the family, I don't see much resemblance between the two. Regina is trying to make a life for herself and her 6-year-old daughter Holly in the California wine business, but being on the wrong side of the DeLuca family doesn't buy her any favors. Gabe DeLuca is protecting her sister from the woman who ruined his sister's marriage, but in the course of trying to hurt Regina, [...]
