    1. Deep and AffirmingNicki Elson, author of the fun and flirty college romp Three Daves, heads in a different direction for this adult spiritual romance. I loved the realistic characters, the suspense, and the deep questions this novel provokes.Maggie Brock is reeling after her husband Carl divorced her. Together they have a daughter Kirsten and a son Liam, and Maggie has to figure out how to proceed as a single mother. She takes a job as administrative assistant at her Catholic church, and tries t [...]

    2. It’s been a while since I’ve read an angel book, and I’m glad for that. I think I needed to give myself some time off after so many were released in the YA genre, and the break allowed me the time needed to miss them and embrace a new take on angel/heaven/hell mythology. Author Nicki Elson has done a phenomenal job creating a realistic premise, world, and characters. I mean, while reading, I honestly felt as if this story could happen—as if it may have already happened. It’s just that [...]

    3. This is a story about love, friendship and most of all faith. These are thing we are familiar with. This is the story of a real woman who comes very close to losing it all.I am not going to tell you that this is the best book I’ve read so far, but I will that you that you should definitely read it. Even though I found it quite hard to get past the first quarter of the book I kept reading it until the end because I received this book from Omific in exchange of an honest review and I always try [...]

    4. Books with brains and believable characters are what I best relate to, so hats off to the thought-provoking and realistic renderings in Divine Temptation. We essentially start in an average suburban town with a seemingly average heroine, which is easy to relate to and sets a lighthearted tone and engaging pace out the gated yet, that claw-footed creature of the book's opening lines remains a looming presence, whispering in our ear that something darker is to come--and it wouldn't be a Nicki Elso [...]

    5. The first time divorced mom Maggie "wakes" to see a man standing in her bedroom, she thinks it's a dream. After all, she IS lonely, and he IS terribly easy on the eyes. A real hunka-hunka angel sent to her straight from heaven. But the dream theory gets blown to smithereens when he keeps reappearing, not only in her bedroom, but in fleeting glimpses out in public, as well. Turns out, he really IS an angel, an angel who's not only surprised that she can see him and talk with him and touch him but [...]

    6. So, here's the thing, I might not be able to give you a good review of this book.As you might know, or not, I'm a youngster and it was just a bit hard for me to feel Maggie, because sometimes I just didn't get her.But she is an amazing woman, that I know.I loved this book, it's a great read, and it made me happy that I got the chance to read it, because it talks about something that it's really hard to keep, faith.I loved the angel, c'mon, who woldn't?"Free will is genuine, and often the choices [...]

    7. I've been wanting to read this book for a while now, and was so excited when I had some time freed up to dive in.I really enjoyed Ms. Elson's voice in Three Daves, and was equally impressed with her talent in Divine Temptation.Simply put: this book was riveting. So different from any of the angel books I've read before, and thoroughly captivating. Maggie (the main character), struggles not only to find her place in the world after her divorce, but to maintain faith in God. She's extremely spirit [...]

    8. It’s impossible to give an in-depth review of this amazing book without spoilers but I will try my best. This isn’t the usual angel falls for the daughter of man story that fills the young adult shelves. (Not that I don’t love them.) For a start, Maggie is a woman of faith in her late thirties. She’s recently divorced with two kids and questionable self-esteem at times. Her life is the cliché, her husband had an affair and now she finds herself replaced by a younger model in the form of [...]

    9. Definitely a 4.5. Read so many average stories lately and had this on my to read book for some weeks. This story not exactly what I expected but nice to read a well written story and really enjoyed it.

    10. Find this review and more on my blog I typically steer clear of books dealing with religion in any way, but am glad I made an exception for this one. Some of the theology was lost on me, but the story was still very much enjoyable despite that. The plot was intriguing. I was absolutely engrossed in this novel, finishing it in less than a day. It was unpredictable and unique. This is the first book about angels that I've read that wasn't of the young adult genre. There was definitely a different [...]

    11. Divine Temptation is an incredible read. Anyone who knows me knows I love angel stories. There is something about good VS evil that pulls you into a book. In this story Nicki Elson makes you question good and evil. Can the devil really do that? Is God there watching us? Do we have a guardian angel who watches over us? Why is it the devil wants to make people miserable? Is it not enough he takes something from them but he has to kick them over and over again while they are down?Maggie Brock is a [...]

    12. Nicki Elson's reputation as an author is outstanding. I first read "Three Daves." Nicki's talent for drawing the reader into the story from the beginning is what I love about her books. But that's not all. She keeps you hooked to the last page.Nicki Elson has several other attributes as a class author. Her writing style is phenomenal. The story carries forward with clarity and a good pace. As I read each chapter, I was eager to read the next partly because I could not anticipate the characters' [...]

    13. So… I don`t know how to start this review. So many thoughts in my mind that I don`t know how to begin. But, let start from the begining. It is the first book that I read from this author. I saw the other books of her on . I truly say that this is not the best book of hers. I mean, what i`ve read from the descriptions and the reviews. Some girl from my country read this book to and I see from her review that she love this book so much. The first time, when I saw the cover I thought of a different [...]

    14. Maggie Brock is divorced with two children. She is trying to be a good mother, to do her job well. To just focus on those two things. But at the same time she wants to have a man in her life. A relationship with him.She is strong, but at the same time she is fragile, vulnerable. She likes to have control over things.By night she´s dreaming about an angel. Fantasizing about him. They both don´t know why God has sent him to her. Evan knows that he has to watch over her.Her feelings for him have be [...]

    15. 4 STARS This was something different. I truly felt immersed in Maggie's life and loneliness. When Evan comes to be seen by Maggie, her faith in God is somewhat questioned. It's not that she felt God and angels weren't real, but perhaps she wondered if God was still caring and aware of all the turmoil in this world, and in her life as of late.Maggie struggles with the choices she felt were thrust upon her after her divorce. She tries to shield herself and her children from ridicule by moving thei [...]

    16. 3 – 3.5 STARS!!!**COPY PROVIDED BY AUTHOR/ATOMR TOURS***→ FULL REVIEW HERE: Clickety click ;)Divine Temptation was, well, divine, in a way. It was beautifully twisted with the suspenseful storyline leading up to the giant climax at the end of the book. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time. The book not only explores the idea of faith and Christianity, but also the forbidden romance between angels and humans.

    17. Is the angel really as perfect as he seems? Is the monsignor really as nasty as he seems? Is the ex-husband a lovable goofball or a total jerk? And what's up with that BFF, Sharon? The author kept me guessing about all of this, and much more, right up until the very end. I'm spiritual, though not religious, and I wasn't sure how I could relate to the religious aspects of this book. No need to worry there - main character Maggie had me cheering for her all the way. Through her struggles with kids [...]

    18. So, I took part in Omnific's Angel Tour a few weeks ago, and planned to read and review each of the books on the tour. I got a little side-tracked because I had reviews that had to be posted on certain days, so these got pushed to the back burner temporarily. I have finally freed up my schedule and can get back into them. So, you can see my full review here

    20. This was a unique read. I really enjoyed it and looked forward to reading it every night. There is an appealing vulnerability to Maggie, the main character, and Evan is an admirable character who is refreshing in his commitment to his "assignment." Even though I don't usually enjoy "angel" novels, and theologically there are some issues here, it's a page-turning read with a great ending!

    21. I truly enjoyed this book. Ms. Elson made her characters so real. She handled the issues of faith and The Catholic Church honestly but without causing scandal. I was on the edge of my seat trying to determine who was "good" and who was "evil". Can't wait to read more from her!

    22. Love Nicki Elson and everything she writes. Sexy & spiritual. Unusual combo that made for a could-not-put-down read. What's next Nicki?

    23. Divine is the right word, because this was nothing short of Divine. The way the story was put together is put together is pretty unique. A romance paranormal with a difference. When I first stated I stopped and asks myself am I read to read such a thing, I was either going to understand and love it or not at all defiantly no in between. Luckily for me I dived in and absolutely LOVED IT. Maggie is a newly divorced mother of two doing her best to stay in control of her life. She believes and trust [...]

    24. **Review written for an originally posted on my blog, Book Bliss.I Received a copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased and honest review**Review: 4 starsGeneral: I think this book did a beautiful job at depicting something in romance novels that is often missing- at least the ones I read. The actual romance. The book presented a romance, something that grew and blossomed throughout the pages. But also, something that tested faith, made readers think a little on their own and still offered u [...]

    25. I receive a copy of this book for an honest review.Wow just finishes reading this story and I really got to enjoy it. I like to read anything that has to do with humans and angels, I find it really interested and I am glad that I got the chance to read this book. While reading this story it gave me the chills, it kept me guessing on who the bad guy was and who the good guy was and who to trust and not to trust. What to believe if things where a dream or reality. This is a story of love, forgivenes [...]

    26. All I can say is wow! What a great book. I loved the way it was about religion without being preachy and even had a little sex thrown in, which was kinky but still classy. What? People who go to church do have sex you know. The stork retired a loooong time ago ;)Any way, that was the first thing I liked about it. But secondly, it’s also about relationships and marriage and even a little kids 101. All without being preachy. It was nice to have a normal woman (and thank God she was of normal age [...]

    27. I won this book from .Since this is not a genre to which I normally gravitate, I was surprised how much I enjoyed the book. There is a unique love story with interesting spiritual conflict that makes this a real page turner.
