    1. For the first fifty or so minutes, Council of War is an entertaining, compelling story. Then suddenly, the entire story hinges on what can only be called a deus ex Doctor and the entire thing collapses under its own weight.Benton is sent by the Doctor and the Brigadier to a town of Kettering to investigate ghost sightings and disappearances by members of the town council. Posing as just-appointed councilmember, Benton attends the council Christmas party, meeting Margery Philips, self-proclaimed [...]

    2. 3/5 stars.I adore John Levene and have met him this year and he was ever so lovely to meet with. I highly admire Sgt Benton as a character on the on-screen show with U.N.I.T. so when I learnt he did a big finish audio, of course I had to check it out.John levene narrating isn't the best on audio. His own character as Sgt Benson was as expected, spot on but the others such as the Doctor and the Brigadier had too much gruffness in the voice making the Doctor sound slightly out of character for one [...]

    3. 5+ stars and I'm not quite done yet. Yay!!! Sgt Benton! (er Councilor) Good story, good plot, nice humor, and excellent narration! Definitely looking forward to hearing more from both narrators! =)
