    1. Going in to this book, one cannot help but make the comparison to the Dresden series of novels. So let's get that out in the open first. The setting is certainly derivative of Butcher's world, and the author certainly a fan. Mystical Chicago, a council of wizards, there are many points of similarity.That said, it is where the settings differ that things get interesting.
