    1. *Shudder*I want to try and be nice, but the abuse of commas alone makes me feel less than generous toward the author. The story is banal, the characters are wooden stereotypes, the pacing is awful, and the plot is boring and predictable. It's NA fantasy smut without any of the fun. Even the sex scenes are fairly uninspired. And proper grammar? Fuhgedaboutit. So here are some writing tips for this author and those of her ilk:1. 'Intact' is one word. 2. 'Passed' and 'Past' are separate words with s [...]

    3. Where do I even start. I was blessed that I got to read an ARC of Finding Olivia. When Micalea sent the book to my kindle I fangirled. HARD.I LOVED the story and fell in love with the characters. Olivia actually reminds me a lot of myself. I am quite shy and don't like to step outside of my comfort zone. Reading this book was a wake up call and reminded me to LIVE. You never know which day will be your last.Trace Trace Trace. O how I love thee. He is my new book boyfriend. Move over Daemon. I lo [...]

    4. I feel rather bad giving Finding Olivia a two-star review since there were so many high marks for this book. Guess I don't like to follow a crowd.Olivia really bothered me. She had a "spitfire" side, which just rubbed me the wrong way. She was snarky so often, that I never found her endearing side (which typically came out only when her and Trace were about to have sex) to be actually endearing. She kept saying how shy she was. I never got that impression. She was awkward and often overreacted a [...]

    5. You can find a bit extended version on my blog: reading-is-dreaming-with-open-Warning Spoilers ahead:I was really looking forward to read this book, just look at the cover it seems like it’s a happy summer read and doesn't have much drama in it, right? Most of all I wanted to read something without the usual “break each others heart after they got together” stuff so I started it.Now I wish I’ve never found this book, it was nothing compared to my expectations and I didn’t have big ones [...]

    6. I cannot believe this book was my first book by Micalea Smeltzer! I had heard of her before I read this book, but I'd never had the chance to read any of her books! I will definitely be putting them to the top of my TBR list now! This book was absolutely amazing! I knew I was going to love it as soon as I started reading the first page! The synopsis pulled me right in as it sounds quite light and fluffy, but it tells you that the book also has a bit of a dark side as well! Finding Olivia was a c [...]

    7. **** 4 Perfectly Solid Stars **** Enjoyable is an understatement. This was a first experiencing the fabulous writing style of Micalea Smeltzer. Yes, I cannot believe it myself, knowing (shamefully admitting) I have two other books of hers on my Kindle. Ms. Smeltzer has a magical way with her words. I have never been so attracted to adjectives (seems silly but oh so true) and the clear vivid descriptions take you effortlessly on this journey with Trace & Olivia. The story just came alive amon [...]

Growing up in a VERY strict household has held Olivia back from living her life to its full extent…that is until Trace, the ultimate Prince Charming stops to help her change her flat tire. “Life is not measured by the amount of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.”Olivia is a twenty year old college sophomore who is living, but not really LIVI [...]

    10. 3.5 to 4 (Finding Your Self) STARSFinding Olivia is a VERY SWEET tale about a young gal, finding herself by completing a to-do listMMARYOlivia is a preacher’s daughter and grew up in a strict household. She’s in college and realizes she never really lived life. She creates a list of 20 things she wants to do. Some things are like getting a tattoo, getting drunk and falling in love.Trace is a typical guy. He’s a mechanic and sees Olivia on the side of the road stranded because of a flat tir [...]

    11. I loved this book a lot! This was a beautiful story about finding oneself and love along the way. Olivia was a girl who was raised to always be perfect in everything that she did. But doing what was expected of her, made Olivia feel as if she was really living her life and doing what she wanted to do. So she decided to go far away from home and try to start her life anew. She made a "Live List" and hoped to cross off all the items off her list. Her first year was barely interesting besides her r [...]

    13. When I got this ARC I looked like an excited 5 year old. SOOOOOO not kidding! I was so excited and totally fangirling over it, and I was not disappointed. I absolutely love this author and her books, she is amazing! Now like all her books, Micalea has written amazing characters with a great story. You will love these characters and want more more more! The MCs are awesome & I have to tell you, I absolutely want to read a book about Avery. I absolutely LOVE her!! Olivia is a fantastic charact [...]

    14. First, I must mention that this is the third book I read by Micalea Smeltzer, I loved her Second Chance Series, but like it said: “third time is the charm” and I became a fan. There’s such a beauty on how honest Olivia’s journey is written that I fell completely in love with Smerlzer writing in this presentation. Words can’t describe how much I like the premise of the story of how a young woman will find herself throughout a “Live List” of things to accomplish, but what I liked the [...]

    15. I really enjoyed reading Trace and Olivia's story in "Finding Olivia." It was my first novel by Micalea Smeltzer, and it definitely will not be the last. Trace and Olivia were great main characters, and I loved their personalities and chemistry together. They balanced each other out well, and I liked how their relationship progressed. They were very relatable characters in some ways, and I enjoyed going on their journey with them. Trace was the entire package. He was sweet, thoughtful, and very [...]

    16. it took me more than a month to read this book. the first half of the book was extremely slow for me, and it just dragged and dragged and dragged and dragged. during the month or so that it took me to read the first half of this book, i skimmed through most of it. my reading speed was over 500 words per minute, so you can tell. and then on friday, i promised myself that i would finish this book no matter what. so i did. some things i kinda liked, and others i really didn't. reading this book was [...]

    17. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. This book is just so good. The characters pull you in. The writing is superb. This book pulls you in and keeps you in. You want to read more and more. Even though I knew the end of the book was near, I was trying to slow down to keep the story going. I am wondering though, is there a book about Avery and Luca? I need to find this out. This is a definite must read!! Get a copy, read the story, fall in love with the characters!!

    18. Olivia Owens has a list of things that she wants to achieve, kind of like a bucket list. Going off to college was the freedom she had yearned for after growing up in a strict household as the preacher's daughter. The public saw a happy, loving husband and father, but behind doors, Olivia's father was cruel and mean to both Olivia and her mum. One night Olivia ends up with a flat tire on the side of the road and Trace Wentworth pulls up to help her out. Sparks fly between the two, and one thing l [...]

    19. I loved this story Trace holly hotness, "my eyes trailed down, over the white t-shirt glued to his chest, and stopped there. I could see black ink underneath the white shirt and licked my lips." Girl I'd lick my lips as well. Trace he's just the type of boy you can't help but fall in love with, "Olivia," he tilted my chin up, the green of his eyes searing my very soul. "I can assure you that sex can be very, very, goodwhen it's with the right person." His sexual innuendos seriously kill me, "I'm [...]

    20. OMG, not sure it gets better than Trace! Olivia has been sheltered and put down her whole life. She goes away to college to learn to live and discover herself. When she meets Trace, her life changes. He helps her discover life and who she is. I can't wait for book 2. I want more of Olivia and Trace and of course Avery needs a book as does Trent. Nora needs a HEA too!

    21. Olivia had a sheltered life growing up and when she finally moved out and went to college she made a 'live' list. Fate intervened and brought Trace into her life. He goes above and beyond for her and makes you fall in love. This is a great story that you can read over and over again!!

    22. I loved this book! I hope the author continues with Olivia and Trace's story and make this a book a series.

Back in 2013 I was just discovering my love for romance and Micalea Smeltzer.
