    1. First off, this book is free, in ebook edition, on every 9th day of the month, on (ex. 1/9/17).Godhunter has been a long process for me. I started it years ago, and I've grown along with the main character. I feel that my personal growth reflects in the books, and you can definitely see Vervain maturing through the series. At one point, I considered going back and redoing the first books, making them more refined and mature, but then I realized that this would destroy that beautiful progression [...]

    2. For lovers of the genre this could very easily become a 5* book, one they would recommend to their friends. What’s stopping it? A proof read by someone who understands about punctuation for dialogue, and an editor who will see where it needs to be tightened up; my estimate would be it needs cutting by 50 pages.Vervain is a fun character to spend some time with – she is sassy, witty and no shrinking violet, well able to hold her own against the baddies and stand proud as an equal of the good [...]

    3. 1.5 StarsTo be honest, I’m conflicted about this book. For one, I’m not sure if I’ve read it before, or that it’s just so similar to something I have read. Either way, it’s got a lot of things I like and things I don’t like. I chose to read Godhunter for a few reasons. I kept seeing the cover pop up in a lot of genres I liked, kept recommending it, and it was one of the few books I haven’t read on my favorite reverse-harem list. Boredom and the lure of a horde of hot guys was my m [...]

    4. THE NEXT ANITA BLAKE.She's not a necromancer, but she is a godhunter. If you haven't heard of Anita Blake, she's a woman known to be extremely powerful with a harlem of beautiful, strong sexy men, and she strings more of them as she comes into her new powers. Why am I fanning about another series on someone else's book? Cause it's a compliment, because Blake is amazing despite her bad reviews, and it's a sexy, fun and terrifying read. This book- maybe even this series -reads just like it.Supposed [...]

    5. DNF - 75% Felt very lacking of substance and immature. Even with curse words and sex included, however even those seemed more like after thoughts, added in later to make it more adult. I couldn't continue after 75%. I admit I was looking for another Lexi Blake Thief Series, and this one left me needing much more than it was giving.

    6. I don't usually read books where the MC is an assassin, but this book is so worth it. I laughed so hard with some of it. Vervain truly has a way with words, that usually ends up confusing the god she is talking to.This story is about love. Not the usual sweet romance, but the 'I am going to kill you so no one else can have you' kind of love. The raw kind. It is about caring so much about something that everything becomes black and white. It is about discovery of self and a little bit about growi [...]

    7. I had to tap out at 11%. It was just immature AF, and this is from someone who reads YA regularly. That aside, though, here were the reasons I tapped out.1. The whole introduction to how Vervain became the Godhunter isn't explained terribly well. A dude tried to kill her on behalf of a god. She kills the dude and the god. Then, she decides to rifle through the god's stuff and thus, her new path is chosen. whuuu?2. "A woman should look like a woman." (In re: the Vervain not being "ripped.") What, [...]

    8. Meh. While I could see potential in this Anita Blake wannabe series, the snark/witty attempts were just too forced and not terribly funny. Very immature. Not for me.

    9. DNF at 20%. Hate the heroine's voice, she tries too hard to be witty, and it's too much. It felt too forced, and it fell flat. Extremely immature. Too unlikable to continue.

    10. So I'm a bit blah on this, it has potential but still didn't really wow. It could be because this was one of this authors first books so the writing is not very polished yet. While I can like the heroine I also can't get behind her selflessness and her warm and cold feeling towards Thor, mostly because I don't understand them I think, they aren't spelled out clearly enough. I also think this book and probably the next are too long, definitely could have had at least a 100 pages of filler edited [...]

    11. This is my first ever DNF review on Great Imaginations, and I'm pretty much scared, let me admit that HAHAH. *side-eyes everyone* Okay, I rarely DNF a book usually, unless the book has a horrrrible main character. I really really HATE it when the main character is badly written, because it will ruin the whole story line for me. Currently, I am having this very very strong urge to RANT OUT everything wrong with this book, but I shall calm myself down and instead list the FIVE reasons as to why [...]

    12. Reviewed by Whitney@Shooting Stars ReviewsVervain is a Godhunter. She stumbled upon this occupation by accident, and the thing is these beings aren't even real gods. They just have the power, and ego. Now, she's not going to let them feed off of humans, or make war break out just to raise their power. However, when Thor runs into her one day, she knows her world will never be the same. Now, she's going to help a few gods fight against other gods, and not only is that bad it's worse because Thor [...]

    13. I love Urban Fantasy and mythology and was so excited about this one. It started out well enough, but it didn't take long for my excitement to fizzle. The book does have mythological characters, so many that by the time I was half way through, I'm not sure if any Pantheon was missed. The problem with all the gods crammed into this story is that I never figured out exactly why they needed Vervain for their quest or why she was a Godhunter in the first place. Basically, the world-building lacks co [...]

    14. Gods (from all religions), vampires, werewolves, witches, all in one book, yay. I'm a sucker for mythology and this book gave a new spin to all the tales I've known and loved over the years. The h was sometimes a bit too much for me (there's sassy and there's plain rude), but I liked all her tv and movie references. Never thought I would find an Eddie Izzard quote in one of these books LOL :)Thor was awesome, sweet and hot. Loved the villain in this book, but then again I always have a soft spot [...]

    15. Do not let the negative reviews deter you from reading this book. It was different from what I was expecting, which made it refreshingly awesome. I loved all of the characters spoilerslet's just say that they are interesting to say the least. The only thing that I didn't like was Blue's infatuation with the Russians. Even with that plus the grammar/punctuation errors, the book was unique and a highly entertaining read. I can't wait to pick up the next one.

    16. Loved this one. I want my very own Thor and he is the perfect book boyfriend material.Verlaine was snarky, smart, and kickass with swords plus she held her own with Thor. Mmmmmmm Thor. The God Squad had me cracking up. Pan's t's.Horus/Birdbrain. Hades and all those nicknames. It's like I've found a new G.A. Aiken or GA Aiken and Kevin Hearne (The Iron Druid) had a pretend baby and she wrote these books.

    17. DNF at 40% - I just didn't care for the storyline or the heroine for that matter. I'm glad it was offered as a freebie, but it definitely wont be a series I will continue. Speaking of this as a series, I just saw that it has over 15 books in it now. And still little to no resolution or closure, and the books tend to end on cliffhanger. Um, no thanks!

    18. It didn't do it for me. I couldn't get into the story, it verged a bit too on the silly side, it wasn't believable. It is light-hearted so others may well enjoy it, but for me, just didn't do it. The story is about what the tile is - a Godhunter, though not as good as it sounds. Sorry.

    19. 2.5 Stars I've read this a few days back and I'm still not sure how I feel about it.Vervain is a witch who also happened to be a Godhunter. She is the only one outside the God's realm who knew how to kill a God, thus attracting the attentions of some Gods. Up there, in the God Realm, a war is brewing and there are two sides, the good one and the bad one - who want to cause a massacre among humans. Thor, the God of lightning is on the good side and have been watching over Vervain for two years. A [...]

    20. If you are trying to decide whether to read this book, do yourself a favour and DO IT!!!!I read the mixed reviews on this book and nearly didn't go for it but I was curious to see how Amy could keep a story going for 20 books so I bought this book. Best decision ever because I am 13 books in and this series is amazing. It starts off slow which can be frustrating to some but I was personally pleased with the build up and descriptions of people and places which makes her world come alive and you f [...]

    21. I instantly disliked Vervain, her date tries to kill her and she kills not just the guy but the God he was trying to sacrifice her to, that part would be okay, self defense and all, but after that instead of freaking out like a normal person, she takes a shower in said Gods house, steals his stuff and decides to become a serial killer. She was a witch alright with a "B" that's for sure but for some reason these Gods whom she so determined to kill off instead of hunting her down they fan over her [...]

    22. OMG such a brilliant book.An extremely strong female lead, who's mouth rivals that of my own so I lmao nearly ALL the way thru the book.Vervain is FAN-TAB-ULOUS! She's got a killer set of one liners, rivaled only by her God killing abilities. She comes under, and I REALLY mean UNDER, Thors hand and BOY is it fun with Baby Thunder and the God Squad! Throw in a deranged God, a werewolf that also wants her, you get a brill romp.No idea what I'm talking about the READ THE BOOKNOW!

    23. I don't really know where this gem has been hiding. I'm shocked it took me so long to discover this series. I love Vervain. She is absolutely fantastic, no-filter and all. I can really relate with her no-filter situations, so it's a win-win. Add to that Gods. You got me, all the way, till the bitter end.I'm intrigued to see how this series will evolve. I hope it's good, because it has all the ingredients to make me its own.

    24. Plot fell flat but overall not badI liked the world and the ideas behind everything. I liked the characters. The plot conclusion was lacking. There was no hint other than a prophecy and a half ass contract. This does not make a conflict to be resolved, so the resolution seems to come out of nowhere and be an excuse for giving her more power and a sluttiness that she didn't previously possess.

    25. This book was so seriously AMAZING! I absolutely loved every bit of it! I wasn't able to read it as fast as I would have liked to, but it's seriously worth the read! Our Little Witch is a total badass and I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to see how the guys are doing! I need to know what happened to Blue after that mess with Aphrodite! Seriously great read and I HIGHLY recommend it! ;D

    26. A lot of people don't like this book because the heroine is extremely cocky. Buy, hey, I kinda like this in women. The book has some nice ideas, like the origin of the gods, werewolves and vampires. It is also well-written in the first person perspective of the heroine. So, I'm actually considering of buying the rest of the series

    27. Fun and funnyI discovered Amy Sumida through her Twilight Court series, and thoroughly enjoyed her sense of humor. I love that her female leads are strong, badass women who can be vulnerable without being reduced to a simpering stereotypical damsel in distress.

    28. A new take on MythologyI loved the new take the author took on mythology with this book. It was unique and fun. This was a good first book with quite a bit of action and lots of humor. I'm definitely going to check out book two.
