    1. Ok, I'm dying here! Most of the installments have ended with a 'mild' cliff-hanger. Not to daunting, but also just enough of a 'tease' to make you dive right into the next book to see what is going to happen. Kennedy has done a fantastic job so far of building the sexual tension between The Master and Christy. He is this patient, sexy, alpha males that seems to be biding his time in his little hidey hole just waiting for his precious Christine to come to him. He set the stage in the last install [...]

    2. Originally published at Rookie Romance.Ermagahd. I love this series so much. In my previous reviews I've mentioned how much of a fan I am of the Phantom of the Opera, and this is a brilliant Phantom-inspired story.Again, the latest installment picks up where act 2 left off. Christy is still apprehensive when it comes to her feelings about Master, but she finally gives in to those feelings in this book. And it was awesome. She hands control over to Master like it's the most natural thing in the w [...]

    3. Publication Date: February 6, 2014Alrighty then! So, I finished this story at 3AM and had to force myself to sleep instead of jumping into the next one. I can't believe it ended like that. **CLIFFHANGER** And that usually makes me madder than a skunk dipped in perfume! The only reason why I'm slightly ok with it is because I do have the next one ready to go. Otherwise, I would recommend to all readers to buy all books before getting emotionally attached to the story and characters. Roman, Roman, [...]

    4. This review is for the entire Master of the Opera series which includes the following 6 instalments:Act 1. Passionate OvertureAct 2. Ghost AriaAct 3. Phantom SerenadeAct 4. Dark InterludeAct 5. A Haunting DuetAct 6. CrescendoWhen I started this serialised novel I was expecting a dark and dirty retelling of Phantom of the Opera with added BDSM so I had high hopes and fully expected to love it. Unfortunately that isn't what I got and it turned into a weird and confusing mystical realism that inclu [...]

    5. Master of the Opera, ACT 3: Phantom Serenade by Jeffe Kennedy is the third installment in her Master of the Opera serialized tale.Christy has been found safe and sound after disappearing in the depths of the opera house. She cannot possibly explain that the masked theater ghost is the one she was with, the one that took her. But what plausible excuse can she possibly come up with? It makes no difference because Roman is there to "Rescue" her (even though she's already safe at this point) and he [...]

    6. Okay, so I'm a bit disappointed with the way Roman suddenly changed. It's not really a coherent development from the character I got to know in the previous two installments, and it just feels like Roman needs to be the bad guy, and now that we're halfway through this short series, the heroine and the reader need to be turned off him immediately. So I wasn't a fan of that. But still this series keeps me hooked. I can't tell you how annoyed am I though at this freaking short novellas. I just want [...]

    7. **This Does Not Release until Feb 6***ARC was provided by Netgalley in Thanks to Kensington Books for allowing me permission to read this*Kennedy has done a fantastic job building the need, that dark sexual tension between both the main characters; Master and Christy. This third installment picks up where the second one ended. Christy, being Christy, is still unsure of her feelings towards “Master”; but, after yearning, she finally decides to give in to a need that she has no control over. S [...]

    8. Seriously ?!?!?!?I'm probably going to get the next book coz I can be an overly curious moron like that. Because despite all the raving 4/5 stars reviews for this series, I JUST DON'T GET IT!!! I don't get what the "Master" sees in Christine or vice versa, the writer doesn't give us enough to see/know why there's supposedly this uber strong pull between them that "Just can't be denied"! Is this a PNR romance ? Is he a shifter and she's his "fated mate"? Or what?!?? Everything between them is infr [...]

    9. Review forthcoming on a-reader-lives-a-thousand-liveI received a copy of Phantom Serenade, Act 3 of Master of the Opera in exchange for my review. With Christy's agreement to visit the Phantom's layer in place she is seriously questioning her relationship with Roman and where it is going. She has the sweetness of Roman contrasted with the dark and mysterious side of the Master. Taking her first volentary trip into the Master's lair opens Christy's eyesFirstly I had an OH moment in this Act where [...]

    10. This review originally appeared on my blog, Books Without Any Pictures:bookswithoutanypictures/20In this third installment of Jeffe Kennedy’s serialized novel Master of the Opera, Christine decides to give in to her desires and comes willingly to surrender herself to the masked man who dwells below the theater. However, she’s got a love triangle dilemma, because she’s still going out with Roman, whom she’s had a crush on since childhood.I like seeing the difference between Roman and the [...]

Originally posted at Butterfly-o-Meter Books on Feb 11th 2014:Fluttering Thoughts:Worldbuilding: The awesome Sante Fe Opera House returns with its mystery and charm.Characters: We get to see more of Christy and the Master (at last! xD), and I’m very excited about the next installment of the story particularly because I’m sure we’ll get more and more of then from now on :D I liked their chemistry, it’s off the charts, and of course I love the mystery of the Master character. We also got to [...]

    12. After spending her night trapped in the tunnels, Christy emerges to find that everyone's been looking for her. She goes to stay at Roman's house because she doesn't want to be alone, and his smothering protectiveness irks her in to leaving early the next day. Calling Hally for a ride, they go back to Hally's and Christy is asked to pose naked on a couch, so Hally can paint her. Hally's painting has replaced the couch with a familiar looking chaise in the Master's lair. Christy decides to go to t [...]

    13. Things have kicked up quite a bit in the Master of the Opera serial with Act 3: Phantom Serenade by Jeffe Kennedy. Guys, we are getting to the good stuff. The parts that make this serial erotic. The parts that make you squirm while reading. Things are also getting a little creepier and I am not sure what to believe - a lot like Christy!Christy and Master share their first intimate encounter and it is every bit as delicious as I would want it to be. Things are a little strained between Christy an [...]

    14. 4- YES MASTER STARS! This part of the series sealed the deal for me, we finally- FINALLY get a taste of the Master but everything is not all roses for Christy. She has Roman to contend with and even while spending time with Roman she can't take her mind of the master and all things that he is.Add in Carla who can't help but show her true self and then Roman's over the top behavior has us guessing what these two are up to and what will happen throughout the story. And that ENDING- Hello! That lef [...]

    15. I received an ARC through NetGalley.Phantom Serenade isoh my goodness. It has crossed over into the BDSM territory that I was waiting for! It's nothing too extreme (yet), but it was definitely sexy! This third installment is also where everyone appears suspicious. There's something off about just about all of the main characters, so it's not clear who the murderer is. Roman is the most suspicious of all though, and I cannot stand him! Not in a bad way, he's great to read about, but he is such a [...]

    16. Review featured on books-n-kisses3.75 Stars 3.75 Hearts This is the third installment by Jeffe Kennedy’s new book. It is a very short story that is being told in 6 installments. In the first installment we met the characters, in the second we saw Christy and Master come together. In this installment the Master introduces Christy to his world of sexual control. It is obviously based on Phantom of the Opera with a few differences of course. There is a bit of suspense as well but that is not the [...]

    17. I've been enjoying the series, however, this installment was a bit too heavy and "Fifty Shades of Grey" for me. Christy is an interesting, liberal (in the sense of free) character, torn between Rohan and "the Master." She is well written and shows great layers. The plot has also been well-developed. Again, I've been enjoying the correlations between the Phantom of the Opera and this series because I'm a huge Phantom fan! But this has gotten to be a little dominator/dominee for me. Not too sure i [...]

    18. This series just keeps getting better. And while I hate having to wait for each next section, I do much more like the wait being two or three weeks apart rather than a year or so a part. We delve deeper into who the Master and who Roman are. I can admit it, I like the Master better. Bring on the whips.
