    1. Ok, not a lot of "fashion" in here, but this is a great beginner's how-to. I've been looking for a book to help my son (who has learned to knit recently) branch out from scarves. The book has patterns in a sequential order that makes sense - the first one is a hat knit on straight needles. The second one is a hat knit on circulars (bulky weight, so you get done fast and is encouraged). Pattern three throws in a bit of ribbing, etc. Each pattern builds a skill that you can carry on to the next on [...]

    2. This is a very good book for a beginner to knitting. The patterns seem very basic, and the finished projects look pretty.I am going to be keeping some of the patterns for the projects for later use.

    3. Good basic projects for beginners, but very heavy on hats and scarves. The remaining projects are not all that fashionable. A newbie could definitely learn some new skills, but more experienced knitters should give it a pass.
