    1. Hero may or may not have been with other women after meeting heroine.I wasn’t sure. However for once it didn’t bother me.He said he haven’t been in a serious relationship or any woman in last year. By which he actually meant he was celibate for a year at least. And I THINK he knew heroine for about year and half. But every action and thought very much suggested he’s not the kind of guy to do casual hook up at 30 and he was instantly attracted by heroine and he’s not the kind of guy to [...]

    2. Very good book with an incredibly intense start. Beth and Drew have lived next door to each other for almost two years. Drew is constantly angry with her because he had wanted the land she bought for her farm. Now the traffic coming to her farmstand is stressing his high priced horses and he really wants her to sell out to him, or at least move her stand. As he confronts her yet again, a huge tornado appears in the distance. They get trapped in her storm cellar for twenty-four hours while they a [...]

    4. Thanks to Netgalley and Harlequin for the opportunity to read this for the Harlequin Monthly theme of Rugged Cowboys.Drew can't stand the way his neighbor's business disrupts the horses he has on his land. He breeds horses for millionaires, for the Derby or just because rich people want well bred horses. The cars going up and down the road in between their properties spook his horses. So he goes to Beth's farm stand and tries to talk her in to moving her business in to town. He'll even help her [...]

    5. I could barely put this one down! Maynard’s originality and passion had me from beginning to end. The scenes were well put together, and the story believable yet not something most of us would ever live through. Her vivid descriptions bring the horrors of this story to life, contrasting sharply with the exciting romance brewing. Emotions also run high in this novel. I felt for the characters, and for the town as a whole. This was definitely one extreme way to kick-start a relationship. The main [...]

    6. Stranded with the Rancher is Janice Maynard’s contribution to the Texas Cattleman’s Club: After the Storm series. This was a phenomenal book especially starting with the introductory note from Ms. Maynard. I loved this book from page one and read it in one sitting. Drew Farrell is a horse breeder who isn’t happy with his neighbor Beth Andrews. While he confronts her with his latest complaints about her business, they look to the skies and recognize the formation of a tornado dropping from [...]

    7. 3 StarsThis was a typical romance novel, he's a billionaire and she's from a family that had to struggle to get by. She owns land that he wants and they are neighbors who have always argued about it.What I really enjoyed, and what set this story apart from most others was the storm aspect. The fact that during a killer tornado they are literary thrown together to survive.I wish the storm itself had been more of a focus, what I mean by that is their time in the storm shelter. I feel like they wen [...]

    8. I really enjoyed this read. Drew wants her land and Beth is not willing to give it up. This goes on for a while. On one of those days Drew confronts her the tornado hits and he ends up saving her life. While in the unground shelter they both realize that they have a strong attraction to one another and all the time they were fighting it was really foreplay and attraction. After being stuck overnight underground they are rescued by Drew. The city is turned upside down. Beth's home and part of her [...]

    9. This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed this story. The heroine's backstory is absolutely fantastic, so much deeper than just her growing up "on the wrong side of the tracks" from the hero. The hero was not quite as "alpha" a I prefer my heroes in the Desire imprint, but he was very likeable. The tornado scenes were vivid and the aftermath especially well-written.The middle sagged a bit for me, but the ending was sweet.Overall, a solid and romantic Desire story that I enjoyed. [...]

    10. This was a decent book. The book was about neighbors' that always found something to fight about. One day Drew went to Beth's house to complain about her produce stand. The traffic she was causing was scarring his prize horses. They didn't have time to finish the fight because they had to take shelter. A tornado formed and was headed straight towards them. The two was stuck in the shelter overnight. During the ordeal the two found they liked one another. Throughout the story that friendship grew [...]

    11. I was cowboy romance week on Overdrive or something! There were a bunch featured, so I read this. Fun, fluffy, entertaining, makes me want a pumpkin patch. :-)

    12. To read this review and others like it check out my site at homelovebooks I really like love to hate romances, I mean lets face it there is a thin line between love and hate and watching people cross over to the happy side is always fun for me (what can I say I love the banter). I think part of the reason why I liked this book is because there is a catalyst for the two of them having a change of heart about each other. So the whole set up for this book is that Beth and Drew are neighbors and the [...]

    13. A town that comes together when Mother Nature hits, this was the time when two neighbors kissed passionately when huddled in her bunker. This was a quick read that I loved immensely. I loved seeing how they were able to put their differences aside during a storm that could have cause them their lives. While I was reading this and hearing that they were hunkered down in the bunker and they couldn’t get out. I thought I was going to stop breathing I hate thinking about being in a dark, small pla [...]

    14. The title, Stranded With The Rancher, as well as the cover sort of give way some of the plot of the book. Drew, a horse breeder is displeased with his neighbor, Beth, because her farm is causing some havoc for his fine equine establishment. They argue as they had many times before, but this time the skies change as a tornado rolls into the small town of Royal, Texas. They run to Beth's storm shelter just in time, but the tornado flings debris on top of the shelter, trapping them there for just a [...]

    15. Janice Maynard’s Stranded with The Rancher is a great start to the Texas Cattleman’s Club: After The Storm.Horse Breeder Drew Farrell prizes his pure breed horses above all else. When his new neighbor runs a pumpkin stand Drew sees red. His latest attempt to get Beth Andrews to sell or move has them both running for cover under threat of a tornado.Beth Andrews moved to Royal Texas for a fresh start. Her neighbor isn’t making her life any easier with his attempts to get her to move. But all [...]

    16. Wow! What a great follow-up to the short novella, The Untameable Texan. I thoroughly enjoyed this great book. At first, I thought the story would be the conclusion to it, but then it started out with Drew, Jed's brother, and his neighbor Beth Andrews. The are arguing about her pumpkin stand on her property when the sirens go off warning of a tornado. They end up trapped in her storm cellar, and what a well-written scene that was. It pulled me in and kept glued to my seat, waiting to see if they [...]

    17. Book SummaryPublished by - HarlequinRelease Date - 7th October 2014Pages - 192My Rating - 3 StarsReviewWhat do you get when you have two ranchers that duel like it's no ones business and lock them together in a cellar during one hell of a storm? One heck of a story that's what!!! The storm scene was amazing, the chemistry between the pair jumps off the pages, my only issue was with the ending. It was too rushed, too all over the place. The reason that she ran off and left, over her brother, seem [...]

    18. Drew Farrell and Beth Andrews are sworn enemies. He is a billionaire, used to getting his way and Beth is his poor neighbor and a thorn in his side. A tornado causes them to take refuge in Beth’s storm cellar, where they call a truce and pray for their lives. As the storm rages they become trapped in the cellar. Once they are rescued they find Beth’s home is ruined and their community has been devastated by the storm. In spite of their own loss they volunteer to help rebuild their town and t [...]

    19. Stranded with the Rancher by Janice Maynard is a well written romance about the coming together of two very unlikely people. Beth and Drew come from two very different world but still managed to find HEA in each other. Beth is prejudiced at first regarding Drew and resents him for reasons that are not quite solid. Drew too is no prince charming at the start. It takes time but the main characters evolve throughout the story and the reader’s perception changes about them towards the end (in a go [...]

    20. My Thoughts:I just love you, Harlequin. I don't think I've found a single one of your books that I don't like. Stranded With The Rancher is definitely an adorable one that I couldn't stop reading. When I started reading it, I forgot the synopsis and didn't realize there was a tornado. For some reason, it captivated me even more. The idea of Drew and Beth being trapped in the storm cellar because of this tornado was just wooooooo! Who wouldn't want to share a little kiss while you're in there toge [...]

    21. DNF at 17%. I've been struggling with this one for weeks now and I just can't work up the urge to continue it. I pick it up, read a bit, and put it back down. I just have no desire to find out anything more about the story or the characters. I hate it when that happens, especially since there's nothing particularly wrong with the writing. I just didn't feel any connection to it, even considering that the hero and heroine go through a tornado together within the first few pages. 17% may not seem [...]

    22. These two have been sparring back and forth for about a year. But it took a tornado to make them realize that there just might be more to it. There was attraction that comes front and center after being trapped in the storm cellar. But its not going to be a walk in the park for them. Beth is still stinging from coming from the wrong side of the tracks and Drew was the blessed man, born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He not only had been raised in wealth but he was also backed by a loving fami [...]

    23. I really enjoyed this sweet read. The story begins with an argument among neighbors that gets disrupted by a tornado. Neither Beth Or Drew ever thought they would end up trapped together in her storm cellar. Fear of the unknown and an attraction they have both kept at bay leads them to one moment that changes everything. You watch as their walls start to slowly come down. Surviving the night and being rescued only leads to a finding out not only her home, but the whole town has been torn apart. [...]

    24. Drew Farrell and Beth Andrews are neighbors. Drew runs a successful horse ranch and breads stallions. He is very wealthy. Beth owns a small amount of acres and she grows vegetables and sells them at her road side stand. Drew and Beth argue over this all the time. He claims the cars on the road scare his horses. While he is over talking to Beth about the problem the suddenly have a tornado touch down and they spend two days in a very dark and drab storm cellar at Beth's until they are found. Drew [...]

    25. I received Stranded with the Rancher for free through a giveaway and thought from the title that it might be a little hokey -- boy, was I wrong! It was such a well-written novella of less than 200 pages and by the end, I really wanted it to go on and on.Granted, the rancher is a multimillionaire and that can be a bit much, but the writing is superb and there's a genuine backstory that's very believable about two people who have nothing in common on the surface and yet find their lives mesh toge [...]

    26. my neice won this book on and they sent her a copy to give to a friend and she gave it to me to read. This was a very exciting, intriguing romance story. Its about a woman who buys a ranch and lives beside a billionaire who wants her to sell him her land. They fight daily with each other but one day a disaster happens and throws them together to survive, what happens from there is up to you to find out by reading the book. This book is not for anyone under 18 as it is somewhat graphic. I love t [...]

    27. I liked this story but I didn't love it and it feels like a big departure from the rest in the TCC series. Beth has a HUGE chip on her shoulder and at first Drew is kind of a jerk. Given the physical attraction it's clear this non-relationship is going somewhere but there wasn't enough of that will-they won't-they conflict that's pervasive throughout the TCC books. I liked this story but I didn't love it because I thought there was so much more that could've been done with Drew & Beth. But I [...]

    28. Honestly I have no idea where the book came from. I have WAY too many books on my Kindle so I'm just flipping through the offerings and randomly choosing books. If you see some reviews of books that seem "off" for me, that's why. Apparently they were freebies? ANYWAY this wasn't a bad book, it just wasn't a great book. I kept getting the feeling that I had missed previous books in the series, but since this is book 1 I guess I didn't.

    29. I love romance novels and especially ones that have to with ranches, cowboys, and Texas. This book fit all of these. Beth and Drew were neighbors that didn't see eye to on things. A tornado destroyed their town and they ended up stranded together during this storm. They were able to put their differences aside and work with helping the town recover. After putting aside their differences their relationship developed into a really sweet romance. A great story!
