    1. All of my reviews can be found on novelgossipDid you catch the disclaimer at the end of the blurb? This book is intended for mature audiences, I may have scoffed at that when I first read it. I read intense and disturbing books almost everyday, this can’t be that graphic, right? Wrong. Having never read anything by Newbound before I had no idea what I was in for, but wow this was dark, graphic and gory. The heads up is entirely necessary, I should never have rolled my eyes! How far would you g [...]

    2. This is a psychological thriller with some good twists and shocks throughout. At first I felt too shell shocked to get my head around this fully. Having read this a couple of weeks ago, I can now post a review with less of the “Oh my goodness, what just happened?” kind of comments. This book had my emotions all over the place. Sometimes it was tense and emotional, at other times it was horrific, and on occasions it had a very dark comedy feel to it. This story had quite a psychological impact [...]

    3. What an utterly heart-breaking, compelling read this was. Congratulations to Netta for writing such a fabulous book.Vitoria and Jonathon have everything - a successful business, the perfect marriage and a beautiful five-year-old daughter, Emily - until they learn that Emily has a fatal illness. Victoria takes to the internet and discovers there have been trials to find a cure for Emily's illness but the trials were cancelled because of disappointing results. What happens next is where this incred [...]

    4. I would like to thank Book Enthusiast Promotions via Net Galley for providing me with a copy to read and reviewI love the book cover its eye catching to me, I think that is why I looked further into what it was about. The blurb sounded 'just up my street' too and convinced me it was something I would most likely enjoy reading. I am sat on the fencewith this one.All in all it a good read. But I seem to be a little different to my other review buddies here and say there were some things in this bo [...]

    5. This book is a really exciting and readable tale of a woman in the most dreadful of circumstance. She faces the deterioration of her five year-old daughter’s health with a condition which is terminal. Another crisis occurs in her life to make this even more poignant – if you can imagine anything worse than losing your only child. Clinical trials on the use of a hormone have been halted and Victoria, a vet, together with her father-in-law Frank, is determined to try this to give her baby the [...]

    6. I must admit I brought this book due to the fact that I was drawn in by the stunning cover which has buy me written all over it. So to be totally honest I had no idea what this story was about when I started reading it. This is the first book that I have read by Netta Newbound and certainly wont be my last. The author has pulled out all the punches with this story. Imagine your child has a rare and fatal illness, Would you choose to save your child if it meant someone else had to die? Well Victo [...]

    7. After reading the book description of An Impossible Dilemma, as a reader I thought 'yeah I like the sound of this' but as a parent reading anything about a child and fatal illnesses I did wonder if I would find it to emotional.Don't get me wrong to start with I did find the storyline a bit upsetting and was nearly in tears at one point but then the story goes into a totally different direction that I wasn't expecting. An Impossible Dilemma really is one to watch out for with a fantastic storyline [...]

    8. One of the most poorly written, two dimensional, far fetched, ridiculous bits of garbage I've ever read. Very entertaining though!

    9. I feel numb after reading An Impossible Dilemma. I think I felt every emotion possible.Victoria having lost the love of her life in a tragic farming accident is left facing the horrible prospect of losing her young daughter to a fatal condition. Clinical trials in the Far East have shown some success by a donation of a particular hormone. The only problem is the donor dies. How far do you go for your child? As a mother and a wife, I was left in tears after Emily's diagnosis and Jonathan's death. [...]

    10. My review of the fabulous "An impossible Dilemma"An Impossible Dilemma by Netta Newbound delivered punch after punch of jaw dropping twists and turns, which made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! Following the lives of Victoria and Jonathan, and their daughter Emily, who has been diagnosed with a life threatening illness, the book explores the trails and tribulations of facing a possible death sentence for their child, and the age old question of "how much would you do to save your chil [...]

    11. As a mother myself, I could really identify with the main character as she found herself making some tough choices, but knowing that she couldn't face her sweet child's face knowing she had the chance to save her, and let it slide through her fingers. Netta is a master of suspense and I found myself glued to the story for a whole day and late into the wee small hours of the morning to find out what the conclusion might be.Thriller is a very apt title and I am left wondering if she had watched Sw [...]

    12. Book DescriptionWould you choose to save your child if it meant someone else had to die?Victoria and Jonathan Lyons seem to have everything—a perfect marriage, a beautiful daughter, Emily, and a successful business. Until they discover Emily, aged five, has a rare and fatal illness. Medical trials show that a temporary fix would be to transplant a hormone from a living donor. However in the trials the donors die within twenty four hours. Victoria and Jonathan are forced to accept that their d [...]

    13. I'll start by saying i've never read a Netta Newbound novel. After finishing this i can't for the life of me work out why on earth not?!? It's brilliant. In a truly dark & twisted way, it really is fantastic. The beginning of the story draws you in from the very first chapter. There's no build up, you are taken right to the heart of the most awful thing i can think of as a mother. Your 5 year old daughter is dying, there is no cure, it's terminal, she has months to live. Just reading this [...]

    14. How far would you go to save your daughter? Would you sacrifice another person in order to save her? That is the question posed by An Impossible Dilemma.I am a big fan of Netta Newbound, she has a way with writing that sucks the reader in, her characters are believable and although the situation that Victoria finds herself in is anything but normal, I could always understand her actions, even if I don’t think that I could have done the same.I actually read this book two years ago, but it has s [...]

    15. I was provided with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.Whoa! That's how I felt after I finished reading "An Impossible Dilema" - the powerful novel from Newbound that brings forth a multitude of emotions within the reader. The story goes around Victoria and Jonathan Lyons, a vet couple settled in a seemingly successful marriage and life. Disaster strikes when they learn that their much-adored 5-yr-old is down with a terminal illness. The legal route of medicine and dono [...]

    16. . 4 am still readingIt's barely 4 am, I am still reading about a sick demented family that love each other so much that the mother will kill over and over again to save her daughter. It's one of the most interesting far out there books I have read. What a mother will do to save her child? The daughter has a brain injury that she inherited from her parents. She does not produce a hormone that keeps the brain from losing it elasticity. Without this hormone the brain becomes brittle and the child s [...]

    17. Reviewed by Sarah Stuart for Readers' FavoriteAn Impossible Dilemma: A Psychological Thriller Novel by Netta Newbound poses a difficult question. Trials of a Chinese treatment involving stem cells have been abandoned; the donors died within a day, so doctors have no hope to offer. After [...]

    18. I am an independent reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock. I'm giving this one 4.5 Fangs. I had a bit of trouble getting into the story and then it started breaking my heart. Netta Newbound brings us a heartbreaking tale of loss. It is the story of a wonderful Mother (Vicotria), whose life is ripped out from under her in pieces. Set on a lovely English farm. Victoria and Jonathan live on the farm that Jonathan grew up on and have come home to run the farm and carry on a Veterinar [...]

    19. Book Review originally published here: iheartreading/book-touHow far would you go for your child? 20. Wow! I have just finished this this fantastic book which was not at all what I was expecting. It was a really unexpected shocking thriller that was right up my street! I am so glad that I took a chance on this as I had been worried about the storyline involving a child with a terminal illness due to being quite an emotional reader when it comes to children!Jonathan and Victoria have given up their vets practice in Manchester and moved to Cumbria to help Jonathan's dad Frank on his pig farm. Thei [...]

    21. **4.5 stars**Netta Newbound’s debut novel An Impossible Dilemma is a rollercoaster ride through uncomfortable suspense, shock, squeamish horror, empathy, more shock, and nail-biting thrills until the slam-dunk finale. Set on a quaint English farm, the very normality of the characters’ every-day lives make this novel so unsettling, yet very readable. The book delves into a parent’s worst nightmare—what lengths would you go to in order to save your beloved child? Told through the eyes of t [...]

    22. This book was not at all what I expected! I received a free copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. It was about Victoria and her husband John and their 5 year old daughter Emily, who seemed to be living a charmed life until Emily was diagnosed with a fatal illness. Things go downhill rapidly from there! Thought it would be a sad, thought provoking book about families and heartbreaking choices that have to be made, similar to Jodi Picoult and My Sister's Keeper, but omg it was a ro [...]

    23. The classic dilemma of how far would you go for your child. I was gripped by the dilemma facing the mother in this story. She had heart and guts to face the situations she does, and the story kept me enthralled as I read on wanting to know how this could be happening, how on earth she would deal with it, what the outcomes were going to be. The contrasts of characters, and their actions, and the intimate family and village like setting makes for an eye-opening read (its rather explicit at times a [...]

    24. I picked the book because I got it as a free download on .And I was surprised how good it was! It gripped me right from the first chapter and I couldn't put it down.Being a mother myself I can totally relate to what Victoria is going through after what happened in her past and how she must feel with all the devastating events happening around her.Its a bit of a horror story - be warned, and I could feel Victoria's emotions as the book developed.I'd read of this author's book. And will.

    25. A Home Run!!!!The author certainly hit this one out of the park. I was so drawn into this story from the first page and every page after. Twist and turns that I never saw coming. I can't find anything bad to say. I couldn't put it down and didn't want it to end. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a great thriller.

    26. I was given this from Netgallery in exchange for an honest review. All I can say is WOW! Really gripping read. There are some very uncomfortable scenes and the story really makes you wonder what you would do if you were faced by this impossible dilemma. The last chapter came as a surprise- saying no more! Definitely a five star book.

    27. Fantastic Book! This is one of the best books I've read in awhile. I was telling my grown daughter about it today and she said, "that book would make a great movie"! And indeed it would! But until the movie is made buy this book and enjoy it's amazing storyline, full characters and unusual ending!!!

    28. Loved it.Love the gutsy mom in this book. What she has to go through!Made me think if it was my kid what would I do.Could I do what she does?I dont know. Its scary and awful what happens to her.Don't want to say and spoil it for a reader but some bad stuff happens to her and she has to recover from that and face her future.Good story.

    29. A family going through do much a mother's love and the lengths she will go. Love how this book plays out the story line as well as it does. A book you don't want to miss out on this year! It will keep you glued just to find out what all happens!*Received for an honest review*

    30. What would you do?What would be the limit to what you would do for your child? If there was a way to save your child, but it would require you to take the life of someone else would you do it? This book shows how far family will go to save a little girl!
