    1. An Excellent Quick Review of the Events That Shaped British History Every American should have a working knowledge of British history! Why, you ask? Since the founding of the first British colony at James Town, Virginia at the beginning of the 17th Century to today, thru the best and worst of times America and Britain have continued to have a shared history, culture, literature, mathematics, system of laws, religious, political, scientific, belief systems and values. Some might argue that we fou [...]

    2. This book does give a very brief summary of the history of britain. It does leave out some very important events in history. It didn't just leave out events but also very important people that shaped history. Overall it was a nice and quick read but I felt like it was missing a lot.

    3. Delivers its promise of a brief overview of the history of Britain. However there are many shortcomings. Usually is only history of England, with mentions of Scotland and Ireland when they interact with England; the author also has a habit of substituting England and Britain randomly at times. The choice of events to cover is mostly sensible, but large tracts such as the Elizabethan era (I thought I must have skipped a page) and much of the Victorian era are completely missed. The author also is [...]

    4. I really enjoy the books in this series. There are thousands of books that will delve deeply into the most minute details of an event. This is the view from 30,000 feet. 50 of the the most important events in British History. The problem is that from the Tudors forward is rather thin. It probably would have been best to divide the Book into 2. The industrial revolution is skimmed over as are the Victorian era, the World Wars. The more recent history is mostly absent.

    5. Loved the beginning but then, by 1800's, looks like the author didn't like that part of the story (dont worry, me neither) and just got meh

    6. This is one of my "buffer" book, books that I read at night to fall asleep and to not have nightmares from my other readings. It was just ok. Not that impressive
