1 thought on “The Weight of Honor

    1. Help me, I'm drowning in horrible editing, gross repetitive narrative, and TSTL characters. All of them. I can't think of a single character in this series that has at least the intelligence of a dried bucket of paint. We've reached the "everything goes to shit" stage of the series. And it's kind of laughable, how much eyerolling I'm doing. If I ever denied that I'm addicted to reading, the fact that I'm reading this proves it. There's nothing else on my kindle, and I'm on vacation in the middle [...]

    2. I do like a lot about this series. I like Kyra and her goals to support her father in freeing her country from a despotic ruler. I've read this far and am interested in finding how the story turns out. I would give this series a four star rating except Rice's need for an honest reading group and a good editor to provide feedback on character development and inconsistencies in how she moves the story forward. I might be more forgiving of this if I thought she was trying to cram a big story into a [...]

    3. I am generously giving this series 3 stars because the story itself is good but oh baby jeebus on a stick is it rough to read with its abysmal lack of editing and every character-section ending with a CLIFFHANGER! I am also getting really tired of the deus ex machina 'saves'.

    4. A great story line butI wanted to immerse myself in this series but find that I am getting more frustrated with each book. The reasons are redundancy and storyline mistakes. The story line mistakes really bother me and throws off my concentration, especially when they are involving pertinent parts of the book. You can't say one one page that Duncan has a few hundred soldiers then the next page say as he and his soldiers lay down their weapons you can hear the sound of thousands of swords hitting [...]

    5. Much better than the previous one. Perfect? No, but the story becomes more and more captivating, we discover that the principal characters are not exempt from death after all, and new mysteries come our way while old ones are not always uncovered. Well there is still the annoying repetitions, but really I found I could ignore them in this book: what is the eye color of Kyle? Yellow, gray, crystal blue ?

    6. The Weight of Honor (Kings and Sorcerers -- Book 3)The third in the six book series. The war to free Escalon has begin. Duncan is named king. Kyna and Merk are now being train at the Tower of Ur. Aidan is on his way to find his father. Theor, the dragon is looking for his egg. Will Duncan win or will all be lost.

    7. Book 3 Kings and SorcerersWow this book kept me intrigued all the way to the end. The warriors are magnificent with true honor will on one side. The magic and places this book takes you will take your breath away as you imagine yourself taken away. Good read

    8. Betrayed HonorWhere will this end? This Book has ending in so many areas. Exactly where will it begin. It is a true mystery.

    9. BuenoUn libro bueno, te mantiene atenta ya que en cualquier momento todo puede cambiar. Me interesa mucho seguir con los demás libros.

    10. The book Weight of Honor, I liked how the there are different things happening to different characters that are important in the story. I like how the characters inter-twain with each other as the story progressed. The story had described everything with great detail and made it feel like you were in the characters shoes. What I didn't like about the book was what the trolls were going to do to the Humans. The book consists of 8 important characters including a dragon. Each of the characters mus [...]

    11. The book “The Weight of Honor” is the third book in the “Kings and Sorcerers” series. The easy and light writing style will hook you up from the very first page.In this book we continue to follow our heroine Kyra, a 15 year old girl, who loves to fight like a warrior. She reaches the Tower of Ur and initiates her training, soon realizing that she has more power than she has control over it. And while on training she meets a mysterious boyHer father Duncan launches an attack into the capi [...]

    12. Great but typos are annoyingIt would have been a 5 star review if not for the typos. There places where a city name is substituted for a person when it clearly should not be. There were several instances where of, the, if, or were left out. I do t know if this is due to poor editing or the conversion to the kindle book. With that said, I really enjoy this series. Characters are well thought out and continue further development every book. Mystery and intrigue abound. The depth of the warrior cul [...]

    13. Just far too many editorial errors - Thebus and Durge seem interchangable, not to mention Vesuvius becoming the dragon for a paragraph. And then storylines that, while possible, make very little sense, the ship coming to Ur for Dierdre? Alec's village being destroyed? The timing and the knowledge of where each boy came from seems unlikely and then they come to Ur for Dierdre but not for Marco. Also, Andros was defeated, where did the Pandesians looking for Dierdre come from? It feels like the fa [...]

    14. This story just keeps getting better. I give the story 5 stars, but the editing does distract from the story thus the lower rating– example is in chapter 13 which tells what is happening to Dierdre when she goes to confront her father – uses Krya name instead of Dierdre. There are a number of occurrences like this as well as many grammatical errors.

    15. Nice storyI like the book but I'm finding it lacking in connecting plot lines. Having vast amounts of soldier searching for specific people without adequate communication techniques is disturbing. Maybe have a communication crystal that helps them relay descriptions of the escapees. Just saying, I want more solid story telling.

    16. The story continues on - Kyra is starting to understand who she is and the escalon Kingdom is in trouble with all fronts looking very dim for them. My only hope is the story does not drag out to long for the conclusion as the other series did. So far is has not dragged and it has me needing to know what happens next

    17. A great readSadly someone has not proof read this very well there is muddling of character names which confuse e-book? please correct!

    18. First book was decent, second book was harder to get thru due to a lot of typos and WAY TOO MUCH repetition. Third book is simply disappointing. no thought nor research behind what the hell he is writing. The story is simply starting to develop in to the type story a 5th grader would make.

    19. Not as good as the first book in the series, unfortunately. Some scenes seemed to be repeated and the continuity of the story didn't flow well. Kyra has gone from being a determined engaging character to a wilful teenager.

    20. Mooi boek!

    21. While protagonists walking into a foolish situation once is an interest plot point, repeated foolishness for multiple characters is annoying.

    22. Just as good as the othersThis book comprises of heroism, betrayal and great deeds, it also leaves you hanging on for the next book. A truly fantastic series of boojs

    23. Significantly better than the others in this series. This series gets better with each book. The characters are still one-dimensional, but the plot offers surprises and kept me in suspense.

    24. Becoming more and more like a comic book. Lots of fighting. No further character development. Voiceover, we end this episode with not even looking for book 4.
