    1. Skeptical, at first, I read with hesitation. The author pleasantly surprised me by the end. This book, without overspiritualizing or stretching to connect secular with sacred, leads the reader through key points of Lee's novel and guides reflections on the broader themes as they are also part of our own story as believers and followers of Christ.     2. I think that the person writing The Faith of a Mockingbird to tie into To Kill a Mockingbird is an avid fan of Harper Lee. To tie it into a Bible study is stretching things too far in my opinion. I found this book extremely convoluted.

    3. I did not realize when I saw this that it had so much to do with the book To Kill a Mockingbird. It was apropos since my family’s book club had decided on reading Harper Lee’s books this month.Upon starting I had not read To Kill a Mockingbird and put this on hold until I finished. Although that was not necessary since Matt Rawle gives a synopsis, and in many cases talks a bit more in depth about the book.
