    1. Kindle Unlimited read the first time, but I had to purchase it because a re-read is about to occur.(Follow-up story in Alien anthology was really wonderful)This book was great! Excellent bad guy setup of Alien elitists thinking humans were impure.Side characters were enjoyable too. Rich world-building.Heroine was enjoyable and level headed.Totally Recommended! Can't wait for the next one.Steamy with warm fuzziesHFNOnly ONE unanswered plot point that I gritted my teeth over.** SPOILER ** (Somethi [...]

    2. I really enjoyed this book and I devour many, many Mars Needs Women books. This one was Kindle Unlimited for me but no longer is. As someone who reads a lot and needs less expensive books or free ones, I don't think I would pay the $7.55 price that is currently showing. The second book which I am interested in reading is currently $6.15 and for me, it's just not worth it for only 280 pages. I wish I could afford it but it is what it is. Maybe I'll be able to catch it on sale or something:)Anyho [...]

    3. The Bridal Pact was a 2.5 star book for me.I was first introduced to the series and this author through the Alien anthology. The short story even though was a ménage (I skipped most of those pages) got me interested in the couple. I hoped for a better storyline than the ménage. It was a typical "Mars needs women" story that didn't surprise me even a bit. The heroine -Poppy (?!)- was the average Jane/ girl next door without much natural beauty but some spunk who gets a hunk of an alien. That see [...]

    4. Can we talk about how absolutely amazing this book is. I love the idea of aliens to the rescue and all Earth has to do is give up a couple thousand women. heheJust playing, but a bridal pact is a great plot device. The only downside to this book is I wish it were longer. :)I cannot wait for more in this series. I cannot wait for Pixie's story and a revisit to Hannah, Poppy and Val's stories. I love the idea of different warrior classes, but they're all warriors.Amazing book, hilarious female cha [...]

    5. I liked it. They need women, and our women are bored. LOL, not really, well Poppy is, we don't really get to know the others. I like the way Poppy and Wheaton's relationship grew. It wasn't all about the sex, although there was a lot of that.Lets see, family, love, talking, laughing, kidnapping, death, new life, friendship Yeah, it has a bunch.I do recommend this one.

    6. 3.5This book read a little different from other similar books in the genre. It was pretty slow at the beginning but I enjoyed the build up and going through the exerience of First Contact with Poppy, most of these books skip right over that part.

    7. For the first Leora Gonzales book I've read I FREAKING LOVED IT!Back to serious mode. I sincerely had a great ride with this one. Same good, entertaining, smooth feelings I experiment, or as close as to when I read a Laurann Dohner book. In my opinion at least That interesting taste. Sexiness fused with humor and world building. Really good stuff!Mars-needs-women/ Scifi/Erotic-romance/Series with definite potentiolPoppy is bored and kind of depressed with her life. She has a lovely sister, a job [...]

    8. Well all I can say is; if this is the first book by this author, she is one to watch and look out for her next book. The story is not necessarily perfect but it kept my interest. I enjoyed the characters, even though I think some of the warriors did start to sound a bit the same. Given they are clones and raised pretty much all the same way, their similarities are understandable. There are times that I wanted a bit more info but that is mainly to do with the warriors, the brides and the councilI' [...]

    9. Bridal pactI enjoyed the storyline. I hope there is a follow up book to complete it. There are several things that were left hanging.

    10. I love this book, however i loved the none romantic parts more than the actual couple. Which is weird but still good. I wasn't invested in the couple at all, in fact i rooted for Poppy to get with someone else because the author wrote so much more about how her relationship built with other men rather than her husband! And everytime her husband did something, it was a screw up! Don't get me wrong, I am DEFINITELY going to read her other books because of this book. I would have loved it more if t [...]

    11. THIS WAS A GREAT BOOK HAD THE THING U LOOK FOR IN READING SCI FI ROMANCE. U HAVE THE WOMAN THAT WANTS A BETTER LIFE FOR HER SELF AND U HAVE THE MAN THIS UP TIGHT AND A PAIN IN THE BUT :) BUT U ALSO HAVE THE DRAMA WITH ALL ROMANCE U LOOK FOR IN SEEING UNFOLD BETWEEN THE TO LOVER AND ALL U ARE DOING IS SMILE, LAUGHING, CRYING, YELL AT THE BAD GUY TO GET SHOT, AND AT THE END U ARE READY TO SEE ON SO SEE U GETS PICK AND WANT TO SEE THE TA-BLOW THAT HAPPEN WITH THEM NEXT. (5 STAR) BET I HAVE READY IN [...]

    12. So this took me like three months to finish and about 4 breaks from ultimate boredom. *sigh*I wont even rant about it because frankly I'm just glad I finished it. Suffice to say that I didn't like it and I won't be reading anymore of this serie.

    13. I almost skipped because the blurb made it sound like a love triangle. It's not. Fun read and adorable heroine. Looking forward to the next one.

    14. This book reminded me very much of Brides of the Kindred series by Evangeline Anderson, except more of a discount version. Though, I honestly don't know which came first.Honestly, I liked this story. The whole 'mars needs women' trope isn't something that annoys me as much as I thought it would. I like the matching-of-an-odd-couple-and-them-finding-ways-to-make-it-work cliche. I also liked that when Poppy was upset, she sorted it out with Wheaton and didn't spend the entire book being pissy abou [...]

    15. Aliens have entered earth’s atmosphere. They’ve been studying the planet and its living species. Turns out they’re in need of female mates and in accordance with its agreement with the government (Earth), they’ll help the planet by eradicating Aids and cancer in exchange for female mates. No woman is forced, they're all volunteers who apply and wait to see if they’re matched to an ideal alien partner. Poppy, who lives in a shit apartment, has a shit job, shit car and barely has any mon [...]

    16. An Awesome Tale!!!BRIDAL PACT by Leora Gonzales is the kind of story that doesn’t come along often enough. The kind of story that makes you read into the wee hours till your eyes are gritty from lack of sleep! It grabs hold of you from the first paragraph and continues to delight and entertain right ‘til the last page. You got alpha aliens, big beautiful women, an exciting plot, and enough drama to keep readers captivated. You can put yourself into the shoes of Poppy, the heroine, and live h [...]

    17. At first when I saw this I thought oh another one, but since I seem to be a sucker for these types I said why not. To be honest I was surprised its not at all like the other in my opinion, sure you have the cliché go to earth cause we have no women on our plant and I need a bride from your planet type; however it starts out different and ends different, humor from start to end, parts where you can over look the main character or how fast things moved. I would say read it to pass time, or need h [...]

    18. Imagine you deciding you need a change in Iife. Imagine eagerly signing up to become the bride of an alien. You're excited for your little adventure and you can't wait to get aboard the spaceship! And then you meet your soon-to-be husband. He is treating you nice, explaining how everything works around the ship. But for some unknown, God-knows-what kind of reason, you decide to turn into a lil b*tch. You whine and complain about everything and anything, you act like a spoiled brat, causing troub [...]

    19. This was a surprisingly an utterly satisfying read. There were points when I came very close to shelving this into the DNF pile, but I'm glad I persisted. Plot-wise, Bridal Pact was a solid addition to the Men from Mars needs Earth Women trope. There were a few plot and character inconsistencies which made me want to scratch the screen but I'm hopeful things will improve with the next book. All I can say is read it to the end!

    20. I picked this book up because I was really wanting some sci-fi it fit the bill for the most part. I had a couple issues with the book nothing huge but I felt that the h was very immature. Throughout the book she kept up with the cussing, made up words, etc. The listen to this music tell you how I feel crap is something my 12 year old niece does not a grown women.

    21. Good, fun bookI enjoyed the world creation, and the characters. It is a sweet romance with a heroine many of us can identify with, and the amazingly attractive alien men protecting earth.

    22. This book is just blah. The begining was too slow, there was way too much exposition not enough romance between the main characters there actually was non and on top of that this book is too similar to other better books. My suggestion just skip it.
