    1. What a clever and delightful idea! Octavia McKenzie set the Pride and Prejudice story to poetry, journal entries, and letters. I was captivated by her whimsy and humor, but also the emotion behind the scenes set to poem. Darcy's progress from notice, to struggles, to error, to understanding, and to need and happiness.A wonderful way to appreciate the classics.

    2. Great collection of poems! I am a big Jane Austen fan, so of course I had to get this book to read! I really enjoyed it a lot! I thought the poems were sweet, romantic and original. They have a certain class to them that they were not over the top, they were romantic and classy at the same time. I thought the writer has a unique and great style of writing and I look forward to more books from this author.

    3. This is set in poetry format which is refreshing. But I realize I have trouble reading a novel in poetry. Great efforts by the author. Just not for me.

The thing I enjoyed most about this book was that it feature a glimpse at the poets imagined futures of the characters, particularly the focus on individuals who are too often forgotten, such as Kitty and Mary, in the wake of Lydia and the two elder sisters who are (of course) the biggest focus of the original novel. Some good ideas but on the whole, the poetry did not flow enough for me as a poetry enthusiast and it did not seem fitting to have all the poems told in the same pentameter or from [...]
