    1. My 9 year old son & I read this book together, during the 100 year anniversary of the Explosion. My son enjoyed reading a book that happened in our city with landmarks that were familiar to him. I found it pulled my emotional strings more then once- enough that I had to stop reading for a second or two to keep the emotions from spilling over. I loved the book so much that I bought several copies to give out to friends as Christmas presents.
