This is a new story about the Gingerbread Man with the same problems only in a different setting. The illustrations are colorful and fun. Throughout the book there are riddles to guess which will keep your children eager to find the answers to these questions. The ending is cute and the author has made the Gingerbread Man, the hero of the story which is a nice twist.

    12. This book is one of my favorites! A student brought it into my classroom as her birthday book and my students loved it. They all knew the tale of the gingerbread man, and they could all relate to the zoo. This book has different clues in it describing the different animals/ parts of the zoo. I enjoyed how my students could interact with the book as I was reading it aloud , and I also enjoyed how they could make some connections to the story because they had some background knowledge .

    17. Cute story that would be fun to read aloud - letting the audience figure out the riddles, too. The illustrations are a little bit busy for a big crowd, though.

    18. The picture books by Laura Murray & Mike Lowery are the most endearing, engaging, and inventive renditions of the Gingerbread Man tales.

    19. Very very cute rhyme scheme and story. I don't know if I would use it for story time because of how wordy it is. More than likely would have to read to kindergarten or preschool (one on one).
