    1. Cassidy Ryan. Gah, I love her stuff! But not this one. Super big bummer for me.Theo and Asa were friends in art school together and while Theo harbored an unrequited love for his straight friend Oliver, Asa loved Theo. Kinda messy, but I bought it.The day of Oliver's wedding to Charlotte, Theo gets into a car accident and misses the wedding. Asa ends up being the one to care for him while he heals. So, here's the thing. These are men in their 30's yet they both act like teens crushing for the fir [...]

    2. The Art of Loving is sweet, feel-good friends to lovers story. The MC’s are likable and from the beginning, I wanted to see them together. Asa has been in love with Theo for years and Theo has been pining for their straight friend Oliver for just as long. Oliver is getting married and Asa is looking forward to seeing Theo again at the wedding. They haven’t seen one another in a couple of years. It’s too hard for Asa to let Theo go if he sees him all the time, so he had moved back to his na [...]

    3. A Joyfully Jay review. 4.5 starsThis is a great story! I enjoyed everything about it. Asa was so sweet. He’s a man who feels deeply and would do anything for a friend, even if it makes him feel sad. Theo may be wealthy, but he doesn’t seem happy. His flat is decorated impersonally, and all he does is work. Basically, they perfectly balance each other. I rooted for them right from the beginning. This is a novella, so there really isn’t a lot of time to experience their journey to finding ea [...]

    4. I am a sucker for unrequited love, and the fact that was a short story that didn’t drag it out forever actually made me like it more than I thought I would. I, the person who dislikes short books, actually found a theme and setting that worked better (for me) as a short story. Of course, you lose a bit in character development and background, but it didn’t hurt too much.I totally enjoyed both Theo and Asa, even though I highly doubt this scenario would ever play out in real life with grown m [...]

    5. Falling to piecesHow does one survive the viciousness of loving someone who loves someone else? Loving his best friend Theo became too much for Asa while they were in college. Especially as Theo seemed to be pining for their straight friend Oliver. Asa could barely survive the feelings, so he left. Left everything he wanted and fled for home heartbroken.Second chances and hope.Several years later, Asa was on edge. Oliver was marrying his fiancee and Asa wondered how he would face the man he neve [...]

    6. I received a copy of this title to read and review for Wicked Reads 3 Unrequited Stars. Cassidy Ryan is a new-to-me author. Our narrator- Asa is in love with Theo, while Theo is in love with their straight and getting married friend, Oliver. On way to the wedding, an accident places Asa and Theo together without interruption. The Art of Loving was a quick novella, featuring the day-to-day goings on for Asa & Theo, with a few other characters shown. Not truly showing a romance budding, but th [...]

    7. Weak characterization made it hard to differentiate between Asa and Theo, and also made me couldn't care less about their story.

    8. Book: The Art of LovingAuthor: Cassidy RyanRating: 4 StarsSometimes you just need that short sweet love story to give you a pick me up and The Art of Loving is a friends to lovers novella that does just that. One my favorite parts of friends to lovers is that there is already this wonderful friendship to build this love off of.Asa moved back home to Glasgow two years ago because he loved his friend Theo so much and watching him love their straight friend Oliver was killing him inside. Unfortunat [...]

    9. I am a huge sucker for secret crushes, especially when one involves a best friend. Asa moved back to his hometown of Glasgow two years ago because he was in love with his best friend Theo, but Theo was in love with their straight friend Oliver. Asa thought time away would help mend his broken heart but neither time or distance have diminished his feelings. Asa heads back to London for Oliver's wedding steeling himself for the emotional onslaught when he sees Theo again only Theo doesn't show up [...]

    10. I really enjoyed this book. If I had to describe it I would say that it is a book about unrequited love that one of the main characters has for his best friend but the best friend is in love with their other best who is getting married. This marriage sets in motion a chain of events that sets the course of the two main characters lives.I actually felt bad for both Asa and for Theo both. They both loved someone who did not return those feelings and that made it hard to be a round that person beca [...]
