    1. Divorced, pregnant and living back home in Indigo Bay is the last place Melanie thought she would be at almost 30 years old. But here she is. Starting over. Determined to go at it alone. She doesn't need to have her heart broken or be left again. All she needs is her family, friends and the little one growing inside her. But little does she know that fate has something else in store for herDeclan finds himself back in Indigo Bay starting a new job. When he sees Mel for the first time in almost 1 [...]

    2. I don't know about anyone else, but my life has NOT gone exactly as I had planned. There are things that I regret, but nothing like what Melanie and Declan feel remorse over. Feeling too young at 18 and dealing with some misunderstandings, they broke off their relationship and now, years later, they have a second chance at love. Sometimes the timing is just off the first time around and I love it when a couple gets another try.Declan and Mel have an imperceptible thread binding them together and [...]

    3. Declan and Mel were high school sweethearts. After a break-up that they both later regret, life has gone on. Mel was married, and now has the distinction of coming back to her hometown divorced and pregnant. She doesn't have room for men in her life, unless her baby is a boy. Things change when Declan returns to Indigo Bay, as well. Mel still isn't looking for romance, but a friend is just what she needs. Declan was a great leading man, from his confidence and patience, to his support of Mel dur [...]

    4. Another hit! I really enjoy Ms. Peel's books and was looking forward to this one for awhile. It's book five in the Indigo Bay series, but stands well on its own. I look forward to reading the other books in this series.I am a sucker for second chance romances and always enjoy seeing couples get a second chance at love. Melanie and Declan have a sweet romance, they grew up together and dated in high school. Chance would have it that they're reunited when Declan has business with Melanie's father. [...]

    5. Oh my goodness. Declan Shaw!!! I think I just found my new book boyfriend. Because hello? Who wouldn't want a man like him? He's lovin' on Melanie full on pregnant and making her feel beautiful and desired. He is a stand up kind of man, working hard and going out of his way to prove that he is the kind of man that will love Melanie and her baby forever. Swoony. There is something about second chance at first love stories, especially with the boy next door. Although I'm sure that any book with De [...]

    6. 3.5/5.0A short, but very sweet romance. There really isn’t anything that makes it stand out or anything that hasn’t been written many times before. It is just a nice little confection that leaves a reader feeling happy.

    7. The Sweetest StoryI once again fell in love with the characters and story in another Jennifer Peel book. This story was tender and sweet; a story about second chances and new beginnings. It hit home for me as our protagonist is pregnant and so much of what she experiences brought back memories of being pregnant with my daughter. There was definitely some swoon-worthy moments, and of course the romance was clean (my favorite!!).

    8. I love this author's writing style. It's easy to get into the head of the main character, even when she is very different from myself. Melanie has had a difficult past, and is ready to work to make a new future- sans men. Declan is pretty much too good to be true, and it takes Melanie time to get used to the idea of reconciling with him. I loved seeing them together as they rebuilt their friendship and more, great chemistry :)(I purchased a copy of this book; all opinions expressed are my own)

    9. I love how gentle but persistent the hero was in this book in winning over his first love. It is a book about second choices, trust, love and family. It's a wonderful heartwarming read.

    10. 3.5 and very enjoyable.I'm feeling quite dense about the specifics of their break-up. What had Melanie envisioned? Like an open relationship? Break-up, but remain friends? Because I have a feeling if that were to have occurred, she'd still be heartbroken (and hypocritical) when Declan explores other relationships. I suppose she did not know what she wanted so she did not want to make promises. She definitely did not want complete radio silence from Declan. It was not too clear to me about her in [...]

    11. Escape to the beachOne of the things I absolutely love about this authors books is the flavor of the location she works through the story. With beaches, and sights and sounds and smells described, and sweet hometown sayings peppering the conversations, I always leave wanting to live where her characters do.This story is perfect, moving steadily and wonderfully with the main characters. Staying up until 2:30 am to devour this new book is worth it! Great human characters is a staple, with real lif [...]

    12. This features Declan and Melanie. Mel has just returned to Indigo Bay, pregnant and divorced, with rumors flying after her. When she runs into Declan, her high school boyfriend and first true love, her heart still flutters. But she has a baby to focus on, and doesn’t want to trust a man again after the messy way her marriage ended. But he has other ideas. This story brought the romance to the sweet spot. Their chemistry is pretty fun to read about, and Declan is every girl’s dream. He’s aw [...]

    13. Best Romance of the summer. Five stars just isn't enough! !!!Well-written. Major sigh moments! Declan would be any girls dream come true. I love the bond of friendship you feel in each of Jennifer's books, not only for the main characters but for their friends and families. This book was a rollercoaster ride you don't want to miss or get off and when you get off you just want to jump right back on! I love the kindness ,compassion and forgiveness this books offers. Well done Jennifer Peel Well do [...]

    14. Awww! Every woman deserves a man like Declan! What a sweet man! He was completely devoted to Melanie and her baby. This was such a timely book for me as I received an ARC from the author and read it just before Mother's Day weekend; perfect timing! It's been a long time since I was an expectant mother but reading this brought me back to those days. This story would be even more poignant for young, expectant mothers. This was a sweet, hopeful story of second chances at love.

    15. Great readClean romance. I love this story. Mel finds herself in a difficult situation, divorced and pregnant, the father denying even beimg the father. She's been heartbroken, but determined to rebuild her life and be a great mother. And life gives her a chance to heal and rebuild in a way she didn't expect. But is definitely the dream. This book is funny, sweet, romantic and a make you want to stay up reading kind of book. Highly recommend.

    16. Another winner from Jennifer Peel! This was another awesome book by Jennifer Peel! The main character's situation is a little unique as she is pregnant and newly divorced, but I think it worked really well and I enjoyed connecting with the characters. I also loved the role their "dream house" played. Sweet, clean, and I'd rate it PG. I'm definitely going to be reading this one again!

    17. I was hooked from page one! Loved it!! When life doesn't turn out the way you planned, you have to make your own course. And if old regrets from the past just happen to show up; out of the blue and try to twist their way back into your life, anything can happen. Even if being divorced and pregnant wasn't a part of those plans. Jennifer Peel's books keep getting better and better. I love re-reading her books.

    18. This is a book about second chances. Melanie and Declan were high school sweethearts. The two meet up again when both move back. Melanie is pregnant and recently divorced. Declan is trying to convince Melanie to give him a second chance. Will they make it this time around or will Melanie suffer another heart break? I read this book in one day. Jennifer Peel writes very real characters and you can't help loving them.

    19. Love Wins OutMel and Declan had many fond memories of their teenage years. But after Mel's divorce she finds herself back in her hometown with Declan returning too. So much gossip but Declan stood strong by the women he loved. A surprise in mid book but you must read it to find out. A great book I highly recommend it.

    20. Loved it!!Great book, but what else would you expect from Jennifer Peel. It was such a very well written book. Loved Melanie and Declan was so wonderful and attentive, just the kind of man a girl would want.

    21. Sweet storyBeautiful story of lost love recovered. I loved his gentle persistence. Another sweet read by this author. Jennifer Peel writes stories that move at a good pace and you get a good picture of southern life.

    22. Didn't do much for me. Barely enough details throughout the story. I kept thinking it would get deeper as the story went, but it didn't. Not a bad read, but wasn't one of my favorites either.

    23. This was sweet! I really liked the second chance and not your typical romance. She is recently divorced and pregnant and that doesn't deter him. It was a fun, quick book! I love this author!

    24. FantasticGreat story and can't wait for more. Thanks for getting us back to Indigo Bay and can't wait for next book

    25. Typical chick lit book with all the typical predictions throughout. It’s like cotton candy for your brain! Enjoyable nonetheless and I like the series.

    26. Declan Shaw is determined to get the girl he threw away twelve years previously. “Like peanut butter and chocolate, they were made for each other.” His single-minded pursuit and devotion to Melanie is legendary. He brushes the past away; welcomes another man’s baby, but he will not lose Mel again. Fun, sweet, and sassy, I loved this tangy taste of summer. “Men get impatient when they know exactly what they want…” As Mel struggled to open her heart to trust and love, she cannot resist [...]
