    1. Oh, what a sweet and heartrending story! I loved Daphne from the first page, and while her story began a bit slowly, the foundation of building the characters served the later part of the story well since I felt able to connect to their emotions when the plot steadily picked up speed. The dynamics of both James and Daphne's families play a huge role in the plot, from James' meddling upward-climbing father to Daphne's overprotective brother-in-law, the Duke of Kielder (who also brings much of the [...]

    2. Oh my heart!!! I didn't want this book to end and yet I turned the pages as fast as possible because I was completely captured by Daphne. From the first time she was mentioned in Seeking Persephone, the first book of the Lancaster family, I wanted to know what her story would be. Years later and we finally get to see Miss Daphne Lancaster grown up. I love Daphne's character. I felt like I could relate so well with her in many aspects. I loved her relationship with the Dangerous Duke, her brother [...]

    3. I was just browsing on when I saw this! How did I miss this one?!!? I am soooo looking forward to this! Luckily, it comes out in June!

    4. Through no fault of her own, Daphne doesn't feel like she fits in anywhere. She feels like an outcast even in her family, as she's more reserved and not as blond and pretty as the rest of them. When a childhood crush, James, comes knocking at her door, her dreams for her future grow. I absolutely adore James! Although he's manipulated into a situation that he really doesn't want to be a part of, his sense of duty and loyalty take over and he does what must be done. He is a true gentleman and unk [...]

    5. I didn't realize that this book was part of a series of books that feature one of my all time favorite characters, The Duke of Kielder. The first book that I read of Sarah Eden's was Courting Miss Lancaster. From that moment I have read everything I can get my hands on written by Sarah Eden. While this book is part of a series, you can read them separately, but I do recommend starting with Seeking Persephone. It will give you an introduction to the characters and you may come to appreciate the D [...]

    6. Oh how I love the “Dangerous Duke”, Daphne’s ultra-protective brother-in-law whom we first met in book 1 and got to see again in book 2. He’s delightfully droll which I find delightfully humorous, and his gruffness is out in full force as Daphne embarks on her Season. The two have a special bond, and while you’re pretty sure he’s not going to separate Tilburn from his internal organs, you’re not 100% sure lol. And neither is Tilburn which adds to the wry humor. Daphne’s and James [...]

    7. This one was lovely. I really liked Daphne, and the conflict felt very realistic. I appreciated how the characters dealt with the issues that arose, and I enjoyed their interplay.

    8. This quickly became one of my favorites of Ms. Eden's books. I didn't have high expectations (for many reasons), but this far exceeded them and quickly rivaled the best Ms. Eden has to offer. This doesn't have any action or high drama like some of her other books, but I found the characters so endeering that it wrapped me right up in the story. I don't know if it will be one that I can read a dozen times (like I have with "Kiss of a Stranger" or "Seeking Persephone"), but the first read through w [...]

    9. I felt a connection to Daphne so I really understood her! She seems to feel as though everyone leaves her and no one wants her. Her father’s mind was deteriorating as she grew up and where she used to sit in his office, he started to not allow her there. Her and her sister were sent to live with her other sister’s home. There she felt happier as she felt happy that her older sister’s husband seemed to be fond of her and he allowed her to sit in his office while he worked. Her brothers went [...]

    10. Daphne Lancaster is shy and has generally felt unnoticed for her entire life. James Tilburn was kind to her when she was a young girl, and she has dreamed of him since, so when he finally comes calling, she is elated. Unfortunately, her happily-ever-after seems within reach until she finds out James has a terrible secret. Will all her dreams be crushed?I love Sarah Eden's books because she draws me in with the emotional depth of the characters. I care about what happens to them and want to see t [...]

    11. Romancing Daphne is perfect. I loved that it was another story for the Lancaster family. The first book I read of Sarah's was Courting Miss Lancaster, so I was thrilled to have another story with this enduring family. Every time Adam was on the page, I smiled. There were so many clever and heartwarming moments. I loved Daphne right from the start. I loved her growth and how as her and James got to know each other her confidence grew. James was wonderful too. 5 out of 5 stars. Sarah is a fantasti [...]

    12. I may or may not have just sat on my hammock for hours reading this book. I really didn't want to put it down. I love, LOVE "Seeking Persephone" and this ranks up there with that book. We got to see the softer side of the Duke of Kielder- which had me swooning. And I adored Daphne. And James. It was just a super, fabulous book destined to make my "favorite" list.

    13. 4 1/2 stars. It was a little too long. Other than that, I really liked this one. I felt Daphne's shyness and awkwardness, and her hope when James was nice to her. James had a few things to learn, and it was great to see him change. The ending was really sweet.

    14. There is nothing quite like the anticipation of a new Sarah Eden book. I usually get books well before I will be reading them so they sit there, taunting me with the awesome I know is inside but can't have just yet. But when I finally get to pick it up? It's like Christmas! Sarah Eden will always be a must read, go-to author for me. I love her books. She has such a gentle way of weaving a story together. Her characters are flawed, with insecurities and mistakes which make them human and so very [...]

    15. I really wanted to love this book. I can't believe I am leaving one of Sarah Edens books with three stars, but it must be done. I didn't enjoy this book like I have ALL her others. I actually stopped 1/4 of the way in and reread Seeking Persephone and just loved that one. I think the problem was the long, slow beginning. I loved it about halfway threw to the end. This is a squeaky clean read with no violence and a little bit of kissing.

    16. I love Sarah Eden’s books! I do a little happy dance every time I see that a new one is coming out. I was very excited for this one! I love Adam and I was curious to see how he would react to Daphne being courted. I knew from Courting Miss Lancaster that he and Daphne have a very special relationship, and I knew he would be extremely protective of her. He didn’t disappoint. The Dangerous Duke was in fine form, and it was so fun! He makes me laugh and cheer and I just love him!Daphne has alwa [...]

    17. While this story isn't the type one must read into the night, it is exquisitely and touchingly written. Ms. Eden has such a beautiful touch of phrase that it is at times almost lyrical. Daphne's story was one of an extremely shy and much overlooked child who grew up to think of herself as less. The journey that showed her otherwise actually brought tears to my eyes at times. There was nothing particularly inventive in the tale. The beauty was in the telling.

    18. LOVED! I haven't read the first two books in the series but will definitely go back and read them now. This one was very well done.Content: Squeaky clean

    19. Wow! After reading Courting Miss Lancaster, I was very much looking forward to reading this one as well. It did not disappoint! I remember finding this one last year online and becoming curious about it. It wasn't until sometime last November that I decided to read it and had asked for it (and Courting Miss Lancaster) for Christmas! Why can't more romance stories have more wholesome and refreshing love like this! So much of the romance nowadays is porn related and/or very sexual. These messages [...]

    20. Oh, how I love a story written by author Sarah M. Eden. I always know that it will be worth my time and so much more. The characters are compelling, the romance is sweet and the storyline is steady and never falters. I actually read much of this book while on a bus heading to a field trip with my 2nd graders. I was so swept away in the budding romance of Daphne and James I was able to block out the noise of a bus full of chatty, excited 8 years olds on the way to the Museum of Natural History. T [...]

    21. And yet another favourite to add to the list! It is groundbreaking? No, but I just loved it! I cannot express in words how much I identified with Daphne. I may not be as shy but I have suffered socially just like her. Wish I could say I found my James. That would make everything better lolI just loved everything about this book. From Adam being a grumpy but loving bear, to the sister interactions, to Linus and his colorful threats (really hope his book will be the next one!) to our cutie pie of [...]

    22. This book was such a good story! Part of me wanted to read it as quickly as possible and the other part wanted to just enjoy it as long as possible. :) James is wonderful and Daphne's character just tugs at your heartstrings. She's good, and kind, and witty, and smart, and strong, and I could go on and on. I was worried at first that it might be hard to connect with her since she was so shy, but I was quickly proven wrong. Anyway, this book was sweet and very entertaining all at the same time. I [...]

    23. Plain Jane. That's all she'll ever be.At leastat's what she's been told her whole life! How do you compare when your oldest sister married THE Duke and your next sister was the beautiful belle of her season? As third in line, it's quite difficult to "come up to scratch". Especially when you are as shy as Daphne. As usual, Sarah M. Eden had me swept away in Regency England. Her characters are the perfect mix of depth and lightheartedness. The stories always keep me flipping pages to see what will [...]

    24. Aw, I loved this story. Daphne is gentle, unassuming, and tenderhearted. She's been in love with James since she was a girl. James gets coerced into seeking Daphne out during her season in London. By the time the courtship becomes real to him, she's figured out how it all began. Daphne pulled at my heart, imagining her as a neglected, love-starved little girl. I love the cast. James is sincere and sweet. Her brother-in-law the Duke of Kielder is always a favorite.

    25. One of Sarah Eden's best. The romance is tender and real and the hinderances to it grow naturally out of the situation. I find the Duke of Kielder still to be rather unbelievable, particularly in his overprotectiveness towards Daphne, but this is in all other respects a thoroughly delightful book.Popsugar challenge 2017 advanced: a book based on mythology

    26. Title: Romancing DaphneAuthor: Sarah M. EdenPages: 328Year: 2017Publisher: Covenant Communications, Inc.My rating is 5 out of 5 stars.I have read one other book by this author, A Fine Gentleman, and liked it so when this novel was released I jumped at the chance to read it. This book is part of the Lancaster Family series and is book three. This story is about the shy sister, Daphne. The beginning of the story takes place in the fall of 1806 in London with a 12-year-old Daphne peeking at the cro [...]

    27. This Regency romance has Persephone’s younger sister, Daphne, as the main heroine. She is shy and has felt overlooked all her life. Her father didn’t want her. Her siblings tolerate her, but she is invisible to them it seems. As her sister and brother-in-law, the dastardly duke, prepare to have her ‘come out’ in society to find a husband, Daphne is mortified and wishes to remain single the rest of her life rather than face society, knowing they think of her only as the plain sister to be [...]

    28. This is an excellent read, as expected for any of Sarah Eden's novels. I absolutely loved reading more about the Lancaster family in this sister novel to the many English sisters named after Greek Myth characters. This is the story of Daphne Lancaster, the timid, quiet sister who has so much more going on her beautiful mind than others suspect. Her character is one of contrasts from the expected or perceived and the reality and James Tilburn's character is the same, although in a very different [...]
