    1. "The Lost Son" is an intriguing read. Tautly plotted and crackling with dramatic tension, it kept me hooked till I got to the last page. The characters are well rounded and their inner landscapes are explored with skill and sensitivity. The author's style is crisp and clear and the translation from the German original does perfect justice to it. The themes this novel grapples with are eerily topical and this is one of the many compelling reasons to add "The Lost Son" to your to-read list.

    2. An excellent thriller! I couldn't put it down, I was so involved with all the characters and the various story arcs.
