    1. Five hundred years ago Marius Drakon (from Romania) and his family were cursed by a witch that made them gargoyles (they are stone in the daytime, a winged creature at night). This was done by the witch to avenge her cousin's death. The only way to break the curse is to kill the descendant of the witch---the heroine Alexandra Barret. So Marius volunteers to go to New York City to find her, and kill her. (He is only able to move about freely as a human in the daytime during the Spring Equinox, fo [...]

    2. Book Description:He had to kill her. Yet one look at Alexandra Barret and Marius Drakon was a man possessed by a hunger he'd never known. Keeping his family curse a secret from the woman whose death would end it would take all of his stone-cold strength, and protecting his family's enemy might be the death of him. But protect her he must.Alexandra's charismatic new neighbor intrigued her as no man had. What secrets was he keeping, and what did he know of the mysterious winged creature rumored to [...]

    3. This is supposed to be the first book in a "Hearts of Stone" series by Harlequin Nocturne. I enjoyed the book, this was a new to me author and I somehow got the impression that this might be her first book, but I'm not sure about that. The book starts 500 years before present day, when the local Lord of the Manor marries beneath him, foregoing the "from birth engagement" with the local female of rank. She tells a major lie (which is obvious from the start) and gets the local healer/witch to curse [...]

    4. Marius' family has a curse on them that turns them into gargoyles. They are only human for 28 days out of the year. During that time, Merius is given the task of killing the last known descendant of the witch who put the curse on his family. This is said to break the curse and turn his family back to humans. However, once he meets Alexandra he realizes that she is an innocent. She has no idea of her family's background. Then he has to fight his family and find another way to break the curse.

    5. To break his family curse he must kill the last descendant of the witch that cursed his family, but how can you kill someone you want to protect and can't stop thinking about? A beautifully created romantic story with a gargoyle as the leading male. Tall dangerous and sexy as hell and protective of the woman he's meant to kill and his family. After reading this book I want a gargoyle myself!Sigh what more can a woman want?

    6. Paranormal romance between a gargoyle and the witch he is sent to kill. Rather enjoyed this one, the Gargoyle Medieval mythology used is unusual and I liked the brooding gargoyle hero Marius. Fans of gothic romance are going to want to check out this series.
