    1. This is a real romance. Yes it has time travel and some historical fiction stuff in it but the basic plot of it is mostly driven by the slow build up of the romance. Someone is after John and Tess but this takes mostly a backseat. Though I do usually like a bit more plot about stuff other than romance I did enjoy reading One Magic Moment because I am a romantic at times. This is the first book I've read of this series and so there are probably things I didn't know about but really the only thing [...]

    2. Don't let my 3 star rating fool you on this one. It gets three stars because I didn't like it as much as some of the 4 star ratings I have given to other books that Lynn Kurland has written not because I really don't like it. I also find that when I reread her books I like them better. I enjoyed it and the nice thing about her books is that they are safe reading. I personally think A Garden in the Rain is my favorite book because it hit the happy medium of the passion I like with it being clean [...]

Though Tess, a professor of medieval history, has been deeded her very own medieval castle (Sedgewick), Tess remains with her feet firmly in the present. She has no time for fairy tales or mystica [...]

    4. One Magic Moment by Lynn KurlandParanormal Romance –May 3rd, 20114 starsOne Magic Moment is a sweet and magical love story that is part of a time travel series.Tess Alexander has just settled into a real castle! Things would be perfect if only she didn’t miss her sister and if the auto mechanic who fixed her car wasn’t so cold and handsome. But,Tess can’t get the auto mechanic named John out her mind. Not only is he attractive but he looks very similar to her brother-in-law. Her brother- [...]

    5. I found it wordy and dull. It took forever to get to the point. The humor was off. And the villain plot was sketchy at best. The love story wasn't believable. The chemistry was off. Disappointing.

    6. Could y’all hear my heartfelt and happy sigh out there when I turned the last page of this book? I always have the best time when reading Lynn Kurland. She has a seamless way of bringing the past and the future together with characters who are so personable and charming, it’s like you’ve been best friends forever. You want to be there for them, give a shoulder to cry on, share in the laughter as well as the sadness, cheer them on, and revel in their happiness when it finally comes.I wish I [...]

    7. Decent enough book, but the characters just kind of fell flat for me. Good idea, & story line, just not much passion in the characters.

    8. A little out of the blue, we find out in One Enchanted Evening that Montgomery's twin brother John is missing. Although Montgomery doesn't say, it is strongly hinted that John may have just decided to try out one of the time gates his family has knowledge of. Unfortunately, Montgomery and Pippa never mentioned this to Pippa's sister Tess, who is living in modern day England. It probably would've been nice had they just made a quick mention of this. That way, when Tess walked into the local mecha [...]

    9. This was a great read. I don't know what it was about John that mowed me over like he did. Maybe it's seeing an old boyfriend whom the world sees as taciturn and a pain in the arse, but whose redeemable qualities were always crystal clear to me. And who doesn't love a chick who dings up her car in the same spot, over and over again?I immediately loved the characters for their imperfections, completely bought into their attraction, and rooted for them every step of the way. The front porch scenes [...]

    10. Sometimes girl just needs a good medieval, time traveling, hunk of a stud knight with overprotective manners and a fast car. Right? One that makes you swoon That would be this book. Now, I can't read these type of books, one right after another because then they all become the same. But, with a year in between, um hum, I like 'em. I was excited to win this book here on !For my friends who care about such things, there were many, many uses of hell and damn and a few arses thrown in as well. Aside [...]

    11. I got this as a "first reads" book, and started it the day that it arrived in the mail. Every free moment was spent reading this delightful book. My only regret is that I hadn't read her other books first, although she did an excellent job of filling in key information from previous books. Now I'll be ordering her other books today, and look forward to a delightful summer of reading.

    12. This was a fantastic read! I loved Tess and John's romance! Better yet, it was a clean romance. I enjoy how easy Lynn can pull you into a wonderful tale. It left me smiling in the end. My kind of romance.

    13. ***NOTE MY REVIEWS OFTEN CONTAIN SPOILERS***Heartbroken and barely holding on after the recent loss of her sister to a medieval highland knight, Tess Alexander almost comes undone when she encounters the new owner of the local garage, John de Piaget, the twin brother of the man her sister married in the past. Something about the beautiful Tess unnerves John who’s worked very hard to keep his past a secret. It’s not so much that she asks too many personal questions, it’s something about her [...]

    14. John and Tess. Happenstance meeting and they can't seem to part company. Thrown into the past, they settle their future and all problems that have plagued them.

    15. Eleventh in the De Piaget time-traveling, historical-romance series revolving around the de Piaget family. My TakeI do love this series and the MacLeod series. Of course, I do have a passion for history and what historian wouldn't drool at the thought of being able to travel back in time and experience it first hand. Kurland has this lovely knack of mixing up the 13th century with contemporary expectations — a bit like Gabaldon's Outlander series. The expectations and surprises that a contempor [...]

    16. I'm not completely sure why I like these books, but I do. This is the fourth de Piaget book I've read and they are all basically the same plot. Someone falls through a time gate, ends up in the wrong century, they fall in love, have to decide which century to live in, and then HEA. For romance novels they are remarkably chaste. I love the historical accuracy of the Middle Ages depicted. I like the characters. They seem to be intelligent, caring, and willing to adapt to circumstances out of their [...]

    17. Latest book about the De Piaget family. This was about the oldest of the twin boys, John. John travels to the future and unbeknownst to him, meets his sister-in-law and they fall in love.

    19. This week I read One Magic Moment by Lynn Kurland. I decided to read something I knew would be a good read, plus I wanted to revisit characters I have loved for many years. Everyone around here has been so traumatized by the tornado devastation, that I needed the literary equivalent of comfort food, hence the Lynn Kurland selection. Before any of you "balk" at my choice, let me say that, yes, Lynn Kurland is a romance writer, and, no, I rarely read this genre. However, I have read all of Lynn's r [...]

    20. Reviewed for TwoLips Reviews, LLC3 1/2 kisses, zero peppers (sweet romance)Tess Alexander, who is Pippa’s sister from One Enchanted Evening, is a historian, specializing in the medieval period. John de Piaget recently bought the auto repair shop in the small town near where Tess lives. He has some very important secrets, so he has always kept people at arm’s length. If someone starts asking too many questions about him or his past, he immediately ditches them and cuts off all communication. [...]

    21. A fabulous romp from current century back a few centuries, and back where they started. The bad guy from the past has murder on his mind, decided he could get away with it if accomplished in the past, and created mischief to get two people falling in love back where he wanted them. There's laughter, romance, and danger present and past. Love prevails happily ever after for two people meant for each other no matter their birthdates. The frosting on this particular cake is family reunions. Loved i [...]

    22. I have been a long time fan of Lynn Kurland. Prior to borrowing one of her books from a friend I was not much of a fan of romance novels, and the idea of a time travel romance novel just made me roll my eyes. But Kurland is such a master at it that I have been hooked since that first book. In One Magic Moment we are reunited with Tess Alexander. We previously met her during her adventures in medieval times with her sister Pippa. She is still grieving the loss of her sister, who married a medieva [...]

    23. This is the third book of this author's I've read, and there are some annoying things about her writing that I've noticed. She uses the same phrases/words over and over again, sometimes incorrectly (like "beginning and ending with"), she uses phrasing that is not the way people normally say things (like never saying "a couple" or "two" of something, always "a pair"--as in, "a pair of hours"), and there are occasional things of like nature that crop up too often to make any sense (like spelling " [...]

    24. Okay, time to review Tess and John's book. WaitJOHN????!!? John as in, Montgomery's twin brother?? The guy who has been missing and BARELY MENTIONED for like 10 books???? OKAY! I'm SO on board with this! I have been waiting forever to finally find out what happened to him! All that Montgomery ever said about him was that he was "gone". WHAT?? Gone dead or gone to another country.or gone through a time gate? Finally we have an answer! Gone through a time gate to the Future! Yay for that! So when t [...]

    27. Tess is quite shocked when she runs into the new owner of the garage in the village she lives in and discovers that he’s the spitting image of her brother-in-law. She knows that he has to be closely related to Montgomery, who her sister Pippa married not two months earlier, but she’s hesitant to tell John that she knows where he came from because she’s afraid he’ll bolt.John is immediately taken with Tess’s looks and when he gets to know her he likes her even more. But John is afraid t [...]

    28. One Magic Moment is the latest in the “de Piaget – MacLeod” world created by author Lynn Kurland. It is a historical romance book - and don’t dismissed it just because, the world of the de Piaget’s and MacLeod’s is full of paranormal, adventure, time travel, drama, and chivalrous knights-in-shining-armour.Kurland’s books are for all types of readers, for all fans of different genres. Exactly what got me hook, and was the bridge for me to start reading romance - particularly histori [...]
